Job Title: Extended Care Staff FLSA: Non-Exempt Job Status: Part Time; 2:30 p.m.- 5:30 p.m. Reporting Functions: Reports to Extended Care Coordinator and school Principal Job Function: Performs paraprofessional work planning and supervising the activities of children after school. Assist the Extended Care Coordinator in planning, implementing, and supervising activities set for the children. Responsible for the safety and well-being of all children in the extended care program. Duties and Responsibilities: Greets each child in a warm and friendly manner. Interact with the children in the extended care program and encourage play amongst each other and the staff. Cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and helping students solve, health, attitude, and learning problems. Communicate all parental concerns and questions about a child to the extended care coordinator; respect the confidentiality of all family information and refrain from discussing their personal information outside of the program. Meets professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: meeting deadlines, and honoring schedules. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the school administration and Extended Care Coordinator.
