Typical Activities
Under minimal supervision of the Children's Center Director, the Teacher will work independently to:
* Prepare and implement daily activities tailored to the individual needs of each child (in the areas of language, social, emotional, creativity, science, cognitive, multi-cultural, physical, and perceptual) and be a DAP (Developmentally
Appropriate Practices) role model of effective teacher-child interaction in the implementation of the daily operation of the program.
* Supervise and work effectively with undergraduate and graduate students and others in daily activities of a preschool at a university, including student observations, research, student interns, etc.
* Maintain records according to State guidelines, maintain child assessments and developmental evaluations, work and communicate effectively with parents, including conducting parent- teacher conferences, and assist in monitoring center according to licensing regulations.
* Follow State health and safety guidelines, participate in and conduct on-going staff development trainings and planning meetings. Teacher will be responsible for CACFP meal counts when nutrition assistants are not available.
* Support both preschool classrooms by floating as needed and supporting breaks/lunches.
* Limited travel may be required for training, conferences and other professional development opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications
* Education:
* B.A. in Child Development or closely related field.
* Experience:
* Applicants must have at least 24 units in early childhood development. Applicants
must have extensive knowledge of DAP and have experience teaching in a preschool
program, (preferably in a NAEYC accredited program).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Supervise and care for children in the center
* Perform regular duties of assigned "station" (gate, baby room, craft area, etc.)
* Engage children in activities and active play
* Treat all children fairly, but pay special attention to newcomers, shy children, physically or mentally challenged children, or others with special needs
* Ensure environment is safe, clean, organized and well-maintained; perform daily "housekeeping" duties
* Know and enforce all Kid's World policies consistently and fairly
* Know and follow all Kid's World operational procedures
* Know ClubSport's standards for Facility and Member Service Walkthroughs and Core Value Quick Checks for the Child Care department, and help ensure they are followed
* Assist in leading arts, crafts, story time, play and other activities
* Ensure proper check in and check out procedures are followed (with hourly, late and diaper fees collected as applicable)
* Establish rapport with children and parents; show genuine interest
* Be knowledgeable of all junior programming available and be able to explain and promote these programs to members (in person or over the phone)

THE ROLE
The role will report to the Human Resources Manager and will primarily assist with event day duties as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Assist employees in clocking and clocking out.
· Help direct employees, temporary workers, and NPO's to assigned locations.
· Launder, organize and distribute uniforms.
· Collect uniforms at the end of the event.
· Set up and break down check in areas, employee meals, and other areas as needed.
Ensure all associates are following safety protocols.
Support any other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
