Minimum Requirements: * Minimum of two years' experience working in an adult day care center or a related field. * Training in activities for the elderly or certification as a nurse's aide. * Maintains a valid California Driver's License. * Exhibits familiarity with Safety, Fire, Infection Control, and Mandatory Reporting requirements. * Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of challenges faced by the frail elderly. * Sensitivity toward elderly individuals with impairments and their caregivers. * Ability to collaborate effectively with volunteers and other team members, while also taking initiative. * Possession of a High School Diploma. * Certification as a Nurse's Aide or Medical Assistant preferred * Strongly recommended completion of a 36-hour Activity Certificate preferred. * Physical capability to consistently lift at least 25 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds. * Proficiency in bending, kneeling, squatting, standing, and walking, while being physically capable of both executing required tasks and assisting frail elderly and disabled adults when necessary. * All JWCH, Wesley Health Centers workforce members are recommended to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
