Physical Requirements:
This position requires the employee to comply with all applicable federal, state, local, Bright Horizons', and client site requirements concerning immunizations, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training. Compensation:

This is a part time temporary position, and may be required to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Schedule of work hours may vary based on assigned duties.
NATURE OF WORK:
Under the direction and supervision of the Guest Services & Operations Supervisor this position is responsible for working in the Child Watch area of the Recreation Center, supervising the children that are dropped off their while their parents use the facility. It will be the responsibility of this position to ensure the safety and well-being of the children. The position interacts with citizens, community organizations, and other city staff. This position may also be asked to assist with the front desk attendants, and various programs and events offered by the department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Monitor the drop-off and pick-up of children to guarantee their safety while in our care, and assure parents are signing in and signing out children properly and presenting identification
Provide basic child care to children in attendance
Plan, organize, and supervise age appropriate on-going activities in the child watch program and interact with children at play, creating a positive experience for the children
Help implement a variety of activities which may include: leading active games, arts and crafts, dance, drama, fitness, music, and various recreational, educational, or cultural enrichment events
Contact parent or guardian to change soiled diapers, cleaning soiled clothing and accessories, attending to the child's needs, and any other similar needs
Maintain a clean and sanitary environment at all times
Coordinate any specific needs the child may have with their parent or guardian
Attending regularly scheduled staff meetings
Other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Interact with the public in an effective, customer-friendly manner, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with City staff and other organizations
Work well with children and exercise patience, compassion and understanding with them
Understanding and accommodating to the varying needs of each individual child simultaneously
Knowledge of infant and child development and basic care

The Play Care Attendant I is responsible for the safety, care and wellbeing of the children in the Children's Clubhouse Play Care Center. Attendants will follow the policies and procedures of the center regarding personal conduct and security, as well as demonstrate a true desire to work and play with children.
Looking for an individual who can fill a 3:00pm-7:00pm shift and work occasional Saturdays.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide great customer service to the community; see that all customers, clients and members are given prompt and courteous service.
Follow all Child Safety policies and procedure.
Relate joyfully and sensitively to children of all ages.
Sensitivity to children's individual needs.
Use appropriate positive discipline consistently.
Practice vigilant supervision at all times.
Handle security and crisis situations calmly.
Verify membership status through POS system.
Must be able to handle cash, make change and operate the Kroc Recreation Management computer system; secure POS area at close of shift.
Maintain progressive knowledge of all programs and facilities.
Be responsible for maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the Play Care Area.
Adhere to RJKCCC operations as well as all policy procedures as adopted by Administration.
Observe all safety rules and regulations.
Make sure that the facility remains secure by keeping windows and doors locked and by reporting any security concerns.
Complete required trainings.
Attend staff meetings as assigned.
Maintain confidentiality.
Other duties as assigned.
General Qualifications and Proficiencies
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High School diploma or GED equivalency.
Have at least one year of successful experience working with children.
Have the skills and abilities to work successfully with the challenging behaviors of children in our care.
Provide documentation of Infant/Child CPR and Infant/Child First Aid or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Provide documentation of, or ability to pass Tuberculosis test.
Ability to pass City of Coeur d'Alene Criminal History Background Check as well as TSA Child Safety background clearance.
Ability to obtain eight hours of continuing education annually.
Must attend TSA Child Safety training.
Demonstrate the ability to relate positively and energetically with staff, clients, members and customers.
Must have the ability to maintain a non-judgmental attitude in working with customers, clients, members and staff.
Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.

The Nisqually Indian Tribe is developing a Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) facility on Pacific Ave in Olympia, Washington to address the opioid crisis within the Thurston County area. The Nisqually Indian Tribe is passionate about developing a whole person recovery model, keeping all services under one roof so the patient has the best possible chance of recovery. GENERAL SUMMARY
The Child Care Attendant at Nisqually Generations Healing Center (NGHC) is responsible for ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for children of patients. They maintain constant visual and auditory supervision, focusing on the safety and well-being of each child. Additionally, they plan and supervise activities, foster a creative and playful atmosphere, and perform general housekeeping tasks to keep the area clean and safe.
This position ensures confidentiality, security, and accuracy of records, and promotes positive employee, customer, and community relations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required and outstanding customer service to fellow employees, customers, vendors, etc. is expected. Regular attendance is required, later hours or weekend time may be required, and a neat well-groomed professional appearance is essential at all times.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor and engage with children to ensure their safety and well-being.
Maintains a safe play environment.
Maintain attendance records, sign-in sheets, tracking system and any necessary documentation related to the children in care.
Organizes and leads recreational activities, including games, crafts, and story time.
Instructs children in health and personal habits, such as eating, resting, dressing, and personal hygiene.
Implement positive behavior management strategies and handle any conflicts or issues appropriately.
Practices patience with childhood behavior and corrects inappropriate behavior.
Communicate effectively with the children and their parents, as well as with staff and other childcare workers.
Provide updates to parents about their child's day, including activities, behavior, and any concerns.
Maintain a clean and safe play area, ensuring that all equipment is safe and age-appropriate.
Performs basic housekeeping duties including but not limited to vacuuming, sweeping, sanitizing surfaces, etc.
Be prepared to administer first aid and respond to emergencies as needed.
Maintains a positive attitude and follows directions.
Work as part of a team with other NGHC Staff to ensure quality care and programming.
Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
1 (one) year or more previous experience with children.
Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid, AED, Bloodborne Pathogen, Child Abuse Training & Drug and Alcohol Abuse training certifications.
Must possess a valid Washington State Driver's license and maintain a driving record that meets the minimum requirements established by Nisqually Indian Tribes vehicle insurance provider.
Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
The ability to work with vulnerable populations including adults and children.
Must pass a State and National (FBI) criminal history background check prior to employment.
