Summary Description
The Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to and from sports and field trips. Ensuring vehicle operation is in a safe operating condition; and ensuring safety of students during transport, loading and unloading from buses. While maintaining order and enforcing safety regulations on the bus. The position requires a positive attitude, punctuality and dependability are mandatory characteristics of the position. Must be highly self-motivated with the ability to work both individually and in group settings.
Qualifications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the safe pick up and drop off of K -12 students in 2 -3 designated parking locations.
No highway, street or traffic loading/unloading points.
CDL Class A, B or C with passenger and school bus endorsement (passenger endorsement only OK). The school is willing to help obtain a CDL for the right candidate and commitment.
Current DOT medical card. School pays for medical exam & renewal every other year as required.
First aid and CPR certification or willing to obtain (provided by the School).
And any other duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Organization's Values.

Safely transport students to and from school, following a preplanned route and defined time schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following; however, other duties may be assigned.

A valid certificate(s) of course completion for first aid training and child cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) procedures.
Minimum requirements are a Class C CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsement. If the bus to be driven has air breaks, then the minimum requirement is a Class B CDL.

Immediate openings for part-time Bus Drivers to transport students and staff to sporting events and field trips. Applicants must be flexible in terms of availability, as hours/assignments vary from week to week. Many trips are mid-afternoon to evening, we also have trips on Saturdays and Sundays. There is no guarantee of hours/week.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport authorized passengers on assigned trips safely and efficiently
Comply with all federal, state, and local laws relative to school bus operation
Drives safely: no “at fault” accidents or serious moving violations
Maintain cleanliness of assigned bus
Follow assigned route and schedule
Discharge passengers only at assigned locations
Transport only authorized passengers
Complete and submit all paperwork accurately and timely
Return keys, transponders, or other equipment timely, as required
