Responsibilities
1. Provide direct patient supervision in a calm and therapeutic manner.
2. Assist with the development, review, and implementation of patient Treatment Plans.
3. Comply will all Medicaid, HFAP, Reid Health, State Licensing, and Board of Health regulations.
4. Complete daily charting and all required paperwork in a concise and legible manner prior to the end of each shift.
5. Actively utilizes de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe environment for all patients.
6. Conducts goal, psycho-educational, and life skills groups and documentation daily.
7. Maintain SCM certification as a condition of employment.
8. Actively engages all patients by participating with them in their educational, group, recreational, and living environments.
9. Attend all monthly and annual training sessions as assigned.
10. Participate in the Quality Improvement Program by reporting safety issues to the Team Leader or Nursing Supervisor.
11. Maintain a valid driver's license.
12. Complete Intake Assessments when assigned.
13. During shifts, the BHA is directly responsible to the on-duty RN.

Responsibilities:
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living. Provides or assists with providing direct patient care. Observes and records patient behavior and activities. Reports any changes in physical, mental or emotional condition to Clinical staff and suggests modifications to the treatment plan. Provides crisis intervention and milieu management on the unit to maintain patient and staff safety. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED. Required Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. Minimum Experience: None required.
BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)
The pay range for this position is:
$18.54 - $24.10 / hour.
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
