Child Start company history timeline

2000

Incorporated as a 501(c) (3) in March of 2000, Child Start received tremendous support for our vision of establishing a direct service agency, focused solely on early learning initiatives for young children and their families.

2001

2001 - NAEYC celebrates its 75th anniversary.

2005

2005 - Operation Military Child Care is started to support the child care needs of parents who are activated and deployed.

2013

2013 - President Obama called on Congress to expand access to high-quality preschool to every child in America, called The Preschool for All initiative.

2014

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America.

2017

A 2017 study found that Norwegian kids in this age group eagerly absorb history when teachers use storytelling supplemented by trips to museums and old houses or dress-ups in period clothes.

2022

March 28, 2022 at 4:08 pm In homeschooling, they can choose to work through their curriculum as quickly or slowly as they feel comfortable doing, establishing their own pace.
