Previous experience in Magnet Program Director, Practice Council leader or document preparation strongly preferred. Must have at least 5 years of relevant experience. In collaboration with clinical leaders, provides weekly and daily clinical review of the surgical schedule to ensure procedures are posted correctly, including case accuracy, appropriate equipment is requested and available and procedure is posted in the correct procedural area/operating room. Reviews case posting for accuracy based on clinical notes and communication with providers. Posts add-on cases and emergency cases to scheduling system as required, reviews add-on list as rooms become unblocked to efficiently and effectively eliminate free space and down time with in procedural area/operating rooms. May be required to communicate need for special instruments, supplies, and equipment to nursing and central sterile for appropriate case cart preparation. Provides support to leadership facilitating quality improvement by reporting problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement in the scheduling process. Assists in training and development of new staff members through the quality assurance process. May require communication with patients to confirm date of procedure, procedure arrival time, and pre-anesthesia appointment date and time. Other responsibilities may include performing verification of benefits, order entry, and obtaining and verifying pre-certification for procedures. Position requires self-motivated individual who can handle high patient volumes, fast pace, and excellent communication skills with follow-through. In collaboration with leadership teams across all procedural areas, ensures policies and procedures are accurately executed and ensures that all applicable regulatory and legal standards are met within the scope of procedural scheduling. Maintains knowledge of departmental applications i.e. Scheduling, Millennium, Surginet and other systems utilized across procedural areas. MINIMUM QULIFICATIONS: A graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and/or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required. Minimum of three years of experience in an acute care hospital operating room as a circulating RN is required in order to acquire broad-base knowledge of operating room procedures, case accuracy and operating room schedules. Must be able to utilize and display critical thinking skills, independent thinking. Must be able to accurately and professionally communicate with the medical staff, nursing staff, patients and their family members. CNOR preferred. At least three years of experience in an academic medical center and/or trauma center preferred. Excellent critical thinking skills and problem solving abilities. Posts add-on cases and emergency cases to scheduling system as required, reviews add-on list as rooms become unblocked to efficiently and effectively eliminate free space and down time with in procedural area/operating rooms. May be required to communicate need for special instruments, supplies, and equipment to nursing and central sterile for appropriate case cart preparation. Provides support to leadership facilitating quality improvement by reporting problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement in the scheduling process. Assists in training and development of new staff members through the quality assurance process. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.
+ Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body, or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
+ Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia.
+ May require at least one year of direct experience in one or more high acuity clinical specialties.
+ Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association and Healthcare Provider certifications required. ACLS may be required in some areas.

* Communicates with home health agencies, third-party payor, and other community resources as needed to coordinate needs.
* Facilitates and provides ongoing communication with patient/family, interdisciplinary staff and third parties (home health, third party payers, pharmacies, and other resources) to identify and resolve potential barriers.
* Facilitates clinical practice guidelines at the patient level.
* Performs outpatient and clinic care coordination and monitors patients' care between clinic and home.
* Facilitates care via telehealth to assist with patient needs and concerns.
* Refers cases identified as risk management issues, peer review issues, or quality issues to appropriate personnel.
