Akerman LLP seeks a Conflicts Counsel to assist the firm's General Counsel's Office with conflict of interest and risk management matters. The Conflicts Counsel is responsible for daily review, analysis and resolution of conflicts and other issues related to firm acceptance of new clients and new matters, as well as interface with the firm's General Counsel and attorneys regarding approval of new clients and matters. Responsibilities include the analysis of conflict of interest reports for all new firm representations to identify potential conflict problems, resolution of conflict of interest issues (including drafting necessary waivers and other documents) related to new clients and new matters, review of client outside counsel guidelines and assisting with assessment of firm's ability to comply. The Conflicts Counsel will handle additional assignments from the firm's General Counsel's office and firm administration, as needed.
The position requires a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school and bar membership, as well as 3+ years of practice experience as a lawyer in a mid to large-sized law firm. Qualified candidates must possess basic knowledge of conflict-of-interest principles under professional responsibility rules, and have excellent analytical, organizational and written and oral communication skills. Experience in the area of conflict of interest law and/or professional responsibility is preferred. Candidates must have availability to handle urgent and confidential matters and situations, including nights and weekends, as needed. This position can be resident in any of the firm's office locations. Hybrid and remote work arrangements are available. This position will work solely with the General Counsel's Office on firm internal matters.

Purpose and Impact:
The SNAP Case Manager is responsible for the day-to-day case management and system navigation of SNAP .
Essential Functions:
Completes staff training as required by SNAP and agency;
Completes intake assessments for SNAP including all required pre and post assessments.
Responsible for the day-to-day case management and system navigation of SNAP
Follows up on incoming referrals and schedules clients for intakes appointments.
Monitors youth and family's progress through weekly compliance calls;
Facilitates SNAP curriculum within the fidelity of the model;
Liaises with relevant community outreach responsibilities including, but not limited to community relations with: agencies including schools, community-based agencies, local DCF and DJJ community partners, state attorneys' offices, and Police Departments to enhance outreach;
Completes data reporting requirements for intake assessments and ongoing weekly data reporting requirements to all relevant systems in a timely manner (examples include: NETMIS, JJIS, Dropbox, and ASEBA, etc.)
Ensures weekly materials are prepared and ready for SNAP groups including handouts, manuals, and all other required items;
Supports the SNAP Coordinator with organization of food arrangements as needed;
Participates in pre-briefing and de-briefing meetings weekly with other SNAP Team members;
Participates in weekly consultation calls with the Florida Network;
Willingness to work nontraditional business hours including evenings when Groups are scheduled.
Prepares technology that is required for weekly group delivery;
Utilize a strength-based perspective to help youth and families strengthen and manage the quality of their lives by engaging the family, advocating on their behalf, initiating change agent activities, helping them access supports in the community, teaching problem solving skills, modeling productive behaviors, and assisting in the successful completion of youth and family developmental milestones;

The Mental Health Counselor - Outreach Services will provide trauma-informed, wellness-focused support to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Provides early intervention and care management services. Coordinates activities and events to promote community engagement and support homeless individuals and families to rebuild sustainable independence. This position will provide direct services to people of all ages, according to OCO's service delivery standards in diverse locations, including street-based, OCO offices, other agency offices, program sites, public places and the homes of consumers. Independently provides early intervention and care management services to homeless individuals. Carries out duties in accordance with Agency and Program policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Provide crisis counseling, advocacy, and solution-focused support to individuals in crisis or with severe mental illness.
Assist consumers in accessing community services and monitor service provision.
Develop assessments and service plans using a strengths-based approach.
Facilitate life skills coaching, education, and support groups.
Promote positive relationships among participants, families, and communities.
Collaborate with community partners to implement joint protocols and ensure compliance.
Organize and participate in community-building and empowerment events.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and outcomes.
Provide training to staff and partners on specialized topics.
Support direct service staff through casework guidance and problem-solving.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Must have the demonstrated ability to work with others in a warm, non-judgmental manner and be a positive role model

FFT is an evidence-based and strengths-focused family therapy model designed for at-risk youth and their families. Services are short-term and have been scientifically proven to help youth and families overcome challenges such as behavioral issues, substance abuse, delinquency, and conduct disorder. You will work in the community as part of our Intensive In-Home Services team. You will deliver Evidence-Based Mental Health Services throughout Lucas County to adolescents, youth and children, as well as their families.

Responsibilities
Immersed in the FFT model only, you will deliver Evidence-Based Mental Health Services to adolescents, youth and children, as well as their families,
Managing a small caseload, you will travel daily to provide to, and on behalf of, youth and families in compliance with organizational, contract, and regulatory requirements.
Regularly reviews and modifies treatment plans to assure consistent progress and success of plan goals.
Must be willing to participate in training and consultation to obtain Functional Family Therapy (FFT) certification.
Must be willing to comply with specific, daily documentation and assessment requirements
Assists in family reunification and/or stabilization efforts with the youth's primary family or other permanent living arrangement consistent with the youth's case plan.
Provides safety assessment, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization services as required to assure safety and stability for youth served
Minimum Qualifications
Master's Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution.
LSW or LPC required (LISW or LPCC preferred)
Experience in providing both individual and family therapy
Experience working in direct service with youth and families strongly preferred.
Daily travel required; willingness to meet clients on a flexible schedule during non-traditional hours if needed
Must be comfortable providing services in the community and in client homes.
Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, automotive insurance, and a good driving record.
You have good computer and technology skills
Must be willing to accept other job duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Counselor-Trainee or Social Work-Trainee may be considered with previous experience in the field. Must remain enrolled in a Master's level Clinical Counseling or Social Work program and be registered with OCSWMFTB as a Trainee.

Social Worker Foster Care
As a Social Work at Catholic Charities, you will perform as a team member with existing public and/or private agency staff in the coordination of services to ensure successful placement, referral and follow up services for children and families. Complete required documentation as per contracts and/or agreements with public children's services agencies and/or private contract agencies. In addition, ensure that all activities and documentation are in compliance as required per contract agreements, state/federal laws and Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) rules and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Under direction, ensure that the activities of this position and the relevant programs are consistent
with the mission, vision and values of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland.
Monitor assigned foster homes to assure ODJFS standards are met.
Demonstrate knowledge of current Child Welfare practices and approaches consistent with local, regional and national initiatives and applicable State and National Legislation. Must remain committed to receiving on-going training relevant to Foster Care and ensuring foster families are in compliance with ODJFS.
Maintain and meet all required continuing education as defined by system, certification, assessor requirements and Ohio licensure boards as appropriate.
Monitor individual care plan for foster children and conduct necessary assessments and treatments as therapeutic needs arise.
Participate in quality improvement activities; attend appropriate court hearings and case staffing on a consistent basis.
Supervise/evaluate foster caregivers and foster children.
Participate in on-going supervision to ensure quality of services within foster care services.
Understand the usage of, and appropriately complete system documents, reports and client records.
Implement, utilize and/or participate in system policies, procedures, and operations by: following directives of clinical/administrative staff, designee, or responsible party assisting in the efficient and professional operation of site business and serving as a liaison to other sites and/or departments.
Demonstrate the ability to meet system expectations for direct services with clients and families as defined within the scope of service.
Respond to pager and phone calls on an on-going and emergency basis to meet the needs of foster and biological families.
Understand the rights of clients in care and demonstrate cultural diversity and sensitivity. Is aware of and responsive to the cultural diversity needs presented by clients/families seeking services.
Knowledgeable and responsive to cultural diversity issues presented in the coordination of services for families.
Provide transportation to assist foster families with transportation needs of the foster children to medical appointments, family visits and/or other therapeutic related activities.
Assist foster families in transportation needs of the foster children and/or other therapeutic related activities.
Provide and ensure the safety and rights of each client to whom direct service is provided by adhering to client right policies; providing clients with access to the child advocate; and reporting violations of client rights to appropriate supervisory personnel.
Provide access to the system child advocates and copy of grievance procedures to ensure rights and reporting to appropriate supervisory personnel.
Provide information to families about their rights and a description of services.
Perform other duties as necessary to accomplish objectives.
Requirements:
Combination of education and experience normally represented by a bachelor's degree in social work, Human Services or related field with 1-3 years related professional experience in an Adoption/Foster Care Agency in the coordination of services for children and families.
Must have LSW or licensure eligible.
Must be familiar with ODJFS rules and regulations for Foster Care and Adoptions.
Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
Home-study Assessor trained or in the training process and experienced in Home-study/Recertification and Supervision.
Knowledgeable and responsive to cultural diversity issues presented in the coordination of services for families.
Knowledge of FACSIS and ODJFS Administrative process and procedures for Certification/Recertification recommendations for Foster Care/Adoption.
Must be able to effectively and productively work with people of very diverse economic, cultural and administrative backgrounds.
Must have competent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Must be able to form good working and therapeutic relationships.
Good working knowledge of computers and familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
Must have competent organizational skills, strong detail orientation and the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
Must have a valid Ohio Driver's License, provide copy of driver's license, and are subject to a Moving Vehicle Report (MVR) check through the Department of Motor Vehicles annually. Any MVR grade of “unacceptable” is not permitted to operate a personal vehicle on behalf of Catholic Charities.
Must have reliable means of transportation for local travel.
Must provide proof of auto insurance including effective dates of coverage and maintain minimum liability insurance coverage of $100,000 per individual and $300,000 per occurrence for driving personal vehicle.
