Overview
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Manager, Clinical Research Regulatory Affairs is tasked with oversight and governance of Regulatory Affairs department and involved in the day-to-day support of the clinical research studies conducted at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). Working collaboratively with key stakeholders within CRO, divisions, as well as colleagues across CHLA's research enterprise, this role advocates for the advancement of critical strategic objectives that promote effective, efficient, and compliant management of clinical studies. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws; accreditation, professional and regulatory agency standards, and licensure requirements.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:
Required:
* 6 years of experience in clinical research (e.g., research, clinical, interaction with study population, program coordination).
* 2 years prior regulatory experience.
* Advanced knowledge of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and International Conference of Harmonisation (ICH) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines governing the protection of human research subjects.
Preferred: 1 year experience supervising and managing staff

Job Summary
Home Base, a Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital program, is dedicated to healing the invisible wounds - including post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury, anxiety, depression, co-occurring substance use disorder, family relationship challenges and other issues associated with Military service - for Veterans of all eras, Service Members, Military Families and Families of the Fallen through world-class clinical care, wellness, education, and research.
The Massachusetts General Hospital seeks a dynamic Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)/Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to serve on the Special Operations Team. In this role, the LCSW/LICSW will provide and oversee the provision of psychiatric, psychosocial, and overall mental health services and referrals for military Special Operators into the Home Base program. They will also be dedicated to supporting the Special Operations Forces (SOF) program and will provide coverage to other clinical operations as needed. The LCSW/LICSW may help cover approximately 2-3 weekend shifts per year.
Summary
This position will collaborate with other professionals to evaluate patients' medical or physical condition and to assess client needs as part of the interdisciplinary team. They work collaboratively with all healthcare team members to develop and implement treatment plans that support patient-centered plans of care for both individual patients and the medical community.

-Provides psychosocial assessments of patients and families with social, emotional, interpersonal, and/or environmental issues. Formulates biopsychosocial assessment, disposition, and treatment plans.

-May be asked to collaborate with SOF/ComBHaT team, patients, clinical team, and Resource Specialist to identify clinical and psychosocial needs in patients' home communities and identify appropriate resources.
-May provide direct clinical services to Veterans and/or family members, which may include group or individual therapy.
-May provide psychoeducation regarding PTSD, TBI, and related conditions to Veteran patients and family members as clinically appropriate within the context of the Intake and triage duties.
-Collaborate with an inter-disciplinary team of clinical staff (social workers, psychologists, nurses, psychiatrists, physiatrists, physical therapists, etc.) to coordinate patient care and plan for discharge/aftercare when needed.
-Consult with team to facilitate mandated assessments when abuse is suspected (child, disabled adult, elder), and safety assessment when violence is reported. Collaborates with MGH resources (HAVEN and Child Protection Team).
-May assist with crisis intervention and management.
-Documents timely and relevant information in patient electronic medical record and Home Base database.
-Provide coverage for social work responsibilities in Outpatient Clinic as needed.

The Home Base Patient Service Coordinator (PSC) serves as a key member of the team that provides superior care and exceptional service to its patients. One critical dimension of this service focuses on patient check-in process and improving the human experience upon our patients' arrival to our practice and throughout the duration of their visit. The Home Base PSC will play an important role in redefining and reinvigorating the patient welcome and check-in experience. The PSC will be the crucial "face and attitude" of this patient-centered practice. The Home Base Veteran Outreach Coordinator is a point of contact for veterans and their families seeking care and/or education regarding Post Traumatic Stress (PTS), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and other combat-related stress. When not assigned to the Intensive Clinical Program, the Veteran Outreach Coordinator role changes to educate and provide outreach to New England-based veterans and their families about Post Traumatic Stress (PTS), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and encourages the community to take advantage of services available through the Home Base Program. The Coordinator is an employee of MGH and works alongside a team of world class medical professionals to help educate veterans, their families, social workers, employers, community service providers, veterans' groups, and others as to how to recognize symptoms of PTS/TBI and the ways in which they or their loved ones can seek help. The Veteran Outreach Coordinator guides veterans through the treatment evaluation process in the Home Base Clinic and works closely with the clinical staff in the Home Base Program around patient case management and ongoing monitoring of patient needs. Summary
Position Highlights:
The Environmental Services Specialty Technician's primary responsibility is disinfecting
Specialty areas such as Infusion Pharmacy, Sterile Processing, Operating Rooms, Procedure Rooms, Cell Therapy. As part of the Spill Response Team, deactivates and decontaminates chemotherapy and other hazardous agent spills. Responsible for reducing the spread of bacteria and infection as well as providing an environment that appears clean, fresh, and polished. This position performs a variety of duties that support the department in maintaining a clean environment for patients and staff. This includes cleaning and disinfecting other areas as needed.
Responsibilities:
* Clean spills containing blood or other potentially infectious material using established infection control, safety, and ES departmental procedures.
* Occasionally may have to work at off-site locations.
* Follow departmental and other regulatory standards regarding all cleaning policies and procedures (using proper disinfectants, labeling chemical bottles, keeping an organized cart, etc.)
* Perform all essential functions following established safety and infection control requirements (perform hand hygiene, wear PPE, etc.)
* Safely uses, dilutes, and stores chemicals and cleaning materials.
* Complete working knowledge of different types of hazardous materials (chemotherapy, pharmaceutical, bio-hazardous, sharps, pathological, microbiological, and bodily fluids) and how to properly handle and dispose.
* Proper operation of cleaning equipment - Properly clean and disinfect all types of areas including clinical inpatient/outpatient (patient rooms, exam rooms, nurse stations, etc.), support/common areas, offices, labs, conference rooms, elevators, stairwells, corridors, external grounds, etc.
Credentials and Qualifications:
* No education required.
* Minimum two (2) years of Healthcare Janitorial / Environmental Services experience, including 6 months applying proficient knowledge of a specialty area (for example, including terminal cleaners), Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
* Ability to communicate effectively in English, both oral/written form (for the safety of our patients and staff in an emergency situation).
* For internal candidates only (Average quality score of 90% in previous 12 months and successful completion of all competencies over a rolling 12-month period.)
* Valid FL Driver's License.

Purpose Statement/Position Summary:
The Cloud Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions that align with the organization's strategic goals and technical requirements. The VU HRPP (Human Research Protection Program) Compliance Analyst-Term is part of the Human Research Protections Program at Vanderbilt University and is a key individual contributor responsible for facilitating the ethical conduct of research with human subjects. This position will support operations of the university's Institutional Review Board, evaluate applications to ensure that the rights of human participants are protected, and assist researchers with the IRB process. Reporting directly to the Director of the VU Human Research Protections Program, the HRPP Compliance Analyst-Term will regularly engage with faculty, staff, and student researchers.
This is a fully remote role. This is a full-time, term role.
The Vanderbilt University Human Research Protections Program (VU HRPP) is a new program that supports Vanderbilt University Social, Behavioral and Educational Research (SBER) human subjects research. The HRPP Compliance Analyst is a vital member of this program and facilitates the research protocol review process from the initial submission to the study completion. As a knowledgeable and trusted expert, the HRPP Compliance Analyst will provide SBER regulatory expertise to the IRB and research community to facilitate research in a manner that protects human research participants.
Research Integrity and Compliance (RIC), within the Office of the Vice Provost for Research and Innovation (OVPRI), oversees the VU Human Research Protections, Export Compliance, and Research Security programs. Additionally, RIC coordinates with a network of offices and schools to help faculty, students, and staff meet regulatory, legal, and ethical obligations that accompany research.
The goal of the OVPRI is to promote Vanderbilt's distinctive research culture, which aspires to improve the human condition through path-breaking discovery and innovation. The office develops strategies and provides services to enhance extramural support for research and its application to significant challenges, advance a cohesive and vibrant trans-institutional research agenda, and build strategic partnerships around shared priorities.
NOTE: A Term position is a staff position that exists for a period longer than six months but is not expected to last beyond one year. Key Functions and Expected Performance:
Interpret and apply federal and state laws, regulations, institutional policies, and guidelines to protect human subjects and to ensure institutional compliance
Collaborate with the university community to facilitate research
Move submissions through the office workflow in a timely manner. This includes ensuring that submissions are review-ready prior to routing to the committee and conducting non-committee reviews such as expedited reviews, exempt determinations, study personnel changes, and non-human subjects research determinations.
Coordinate IRB activities, including assigning reviewers, drafting committee meeting agenda, recording meeting minutes, and ensuring that the record reflects review status
Author and disseminate correspondence that conveys review results, IRB deliberations, and contingencies for approval of research activities
Provide regulatory and ethical training and advice to faculty, staff, and students
Maintain current working knowledge of the regulations and best practices for the protection of human subjects in research. This includes conducting research to prepare guidance and reports for the IRB on scientific, ethical, and regulatory topics.
Support the VU HRPP Director with efforts to continually improve HRPP operations and increase program consistency. This includes assisting with the development of policies and procedures.

Education and Certifications
Bachelor's degree in relevant academic field with a minimum of eight (8) years of directly related work experience is required
Advanced degree in relevant academic field, preferred
At least 8 years of direct human subjects research protection/IRB regulatory experience reviewing and processing IRB submissions, preferred
Other combination of education and work experience that provides required knowledge, skills, and abilities deemed necessary for this position allowed
Certified IRB Professional (CIP)/Certified IRB Manager (CIM), preferred
Experience and Skills:
Expertise in the Code of Federal Regulations (including OHRP, FDA, HIPAA, FERPA, PPRA, etc), NIH and NSF policies, pertaining to human subjects research, is preferred.
Experience with multi-site studies, including basic knowledge of the reliance processes
Experience with studies conducted internationally
Experience with IRB electronic systems and virtual meeting tools, including Zoom, Webex, and Microsoft Teams
Knowledge of and experience with Huron software is preferred.
Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills are necessary.
