**Purpose Statement/Position Summary:** The Tsai Lab at CHLA is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our research program as an Associate Research Specialist. The Tsai Lab studies the genomics of pediatric brain tumors, focusing on using functional genomics approaches to characterize tumor drivers and identify novel dependencies with the goal of finding better therapies for childhood cancer. The Associate Research Specialist will perform molecular biology techniques (cloning, plasmid generation, DNA and RNA isolations), protein work including Western blots, generate lentivirus, culture neurosphere cell lines, and perform functional genomics experiments in these cell lines. This individual will be expected to be organized, understand scientific concepts, plan and prepare for experiments, and conduct routine and non-routine laboratory procedures. This person will be expected to accurately document their methods, analyze data, and assist in the preparation of results for publication in research journals as well as posters or presentations for conferences. The candidate will present in lab meetings and will engage in one-on-one meets with the PI on a regular basis to discuss research progress and professional development, including mentorship regarding graduate and/or medical school. Additional laboratory responsibilities include ordering lab supplies, lab maintenance, and lab management.
**Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience** : 1+ year of experience performing independent laboratory research experiment at the time of start. Strong preference for 2 year commitment. Must be proficient in the following:
- Experience with cell culture and sterile technique
- General molecular biology skills (cloning of plasmids, lentiviral generation) and ability to follow wet lab protocols, including Western blots, PCR, DNA/RNA extractions, CRISPR/Cas9, viability assays, and drug plating

Overview
Position Summary: The Language and Cultural Specialist II under general supervision, provide interpreting services in a culturally sensitive manner to facilitate communication and the relaying of medical information between speakers of different languages at CHLA; and provide written translations as required in patient encounters such as translation of medical instructions and medication schedules, and any hospital related administrative correspondence with patients/families, including information, education and documentation materials. Competency in written and verbal communication skills in English and the designated foreign language. Ability to translate and interpret medical terminology. Experience interpreting and translating with patients at a full range of developmental and educational levels.

May have direct oversight of staff which may additionally include LOAs, CHLAMG coverage agreements and leases. This position is based in Glendale, California, but will require some travel, approximately 4-5 times a month, to other hospital/medical group/payer offices in addition to meetings held at CHLA.

**Purpose Statement/Position Summary:** The Clinical Informaticist will be responsible for identifying appropriate solutions, making recommendations and carrying out the appropriate design, build, and tests to meet business requirements of the healthcare team utilizing the Electronic Health Record (EHR). The recommendations will include utilization of system functionality that could include but not limited to documentation tools, forms, order sets, rules, reports and other new functionalities. The Clinical Informaticist will collaborate with other team members to ensure that the content and flow of information is consistent and integrated throughout EHR and provides for seamless delivery of patient care. The Clinical Informaticist must understand regulatory requirements including but not limited to: TJC, HIPAA, and Title 22. Clinical Informaticist will serve as a liaison to all departments regarding enhancements, issues and requirements related to the electronic medical record.
**Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:**

-5+ years preferred design/build/test experience with an electronic EMR within an acute care or outpatient health care setting (Minimum 5 years required).
Preffered experience with Cerner clinical information systems.

Purpose Statement/Position Summary: Children's Hospital Los Angeles is seeking to hire a full-time Pediatric Psychologist who will provide outpatient behavioral health services, including assessment, consultation, and intervention for children, adolescents, and families referred to the interdisciplinary Feeding Development Clinic. Clients (ages birth-21) will present with comorbid medical, developmental and behavioral health concerns. Common referrals include extreme Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder, food selectivity/rigidity, weight loss, failure to gain weight, and behavioral difficulties related to mealtimes. The team consists of psychologists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, registered dietitians, a developmental behavioral pediatrician and a case manager. Opportunities exist to build new collaborative relationships with medical clinics at CHLA. The psychologist will be responsible for providing the following: individual, family and group therapy using evidence-based psychological interventions; case management services; school advocacy; home/school visits as clinically indicated; and coordination of care with medical teams at CHLA related to specific clients on the psychologist's caseload. Completes psychological/developmental assessments as needed. Provides assessment as part of the interdisciplinary feeding team and conducts behavioral observations as part of this assessment in order to identify strengths and challenges related to feeding development. Future opportunities also exist for supervision in our APA-accredited internship and fellowship programs. Teaching duties may include didactic presentations; community presentations; and participation in staff/supervisor meetings. Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: Supervised professional experience providing therapy to a pediatric psychology population is required. Previous consultation and liaison experience within a medical setting is strongly preferred. Knowledge of the various psychosocial aspects of commonly referred medical conditions is strongly preferred. Experience supervising trainees is preferred. Training in Managing and Adapting Practices (MAP) is strongly preferred. Experience conducting psychological and developmental assessments is preferred. Prefer bilingual competence (Spanish/English).
Education/Licensure/Certification: Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D., in School, Counseling, or Clinical Psychology; prefer education from an APA-accredited program. Licensed Psychologist in the State of California or license eligible where applicants must have received completed their licensure by their anticipated start date.
