Full-Time 841 Redgate Avenue Outpatient Nursing Days/Nights 40.9200 Through 61.4000 * The RN - Transport Staff Nurse plans, provides, and monitors individualized nursing care in response to specific patient needs within a defined scope of practice. Reports to departmental management.
* ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provides developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care respective to the assigned patient population.
* Responds to inter-facility transport requests utilizing mobile intensive care units and rotor and fixed wing aircraft.
* Collaborates with other transport team members to ensure the safety of all transport operations.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
* LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
* Current Virginia state license as a RegisteredNurse or RegisteredNurse holding a valid Compact State license.
* MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
* Must have an Associates in Nursing/Diploma in Nursing with applicable experience. BSN is preferred.
* Minimum of three years NICU, PICU, and/or Pediatric ED or relevant critical care experience required.
* Department specific RN certification preferred.
* CPR Training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
* Strong leadership abilities and communication skills required.
* PALS and/or NRP required.
* Increased Security Clearance for job role Required: FBI finger printing, criminal background, educational and personal reference check verification and clearance required for identified job roles.
* WORKING CONDITIONS
* Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards such as, but not limited to, excessive noise, dust, or extremes in temperatures. Exposure to communicable diseases and moderately adverse working conditions due to the need to perform certain patient care activities can be expected.
