    Position Summary

    Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, and other building systems; preventative maintenance and capital improvement projects of the assigned properties.

    Responsibilities

    Supervisory:

    • Hires and trains maintenance and janitorial staff.
    • Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of maintenance and janitorial staff.
    • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
    • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

    Duties

    • Oversees the day-to-day operations of the maintenance and janitorial departments such as ensuring work orders are completed in a timely manner, unit turnovers, capital improvement projects and cleanliness of the properties.
    • Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
