Job DescriptionAbout the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Physical Therapist with a strong background in pediatric home health to serve as a consultant for an EMR development and optimization project. The ideal candidate will have direct experience using multiple home health EMR systems and deep familiarity with clinical workflows, documentation, and scheduling processes in the pediatric home-health setting.
This is a flexible consulting role with project-based hours, offering the chance to directly influence the design and functionality of a pediatric-focused clinical software platform.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert insight into pediatric PT workflows, home-health documentation requirements, and clinical best practices.
Review EMR modules, documentation templates, and process flows; provide feedback for improvement.
Demonstrate how real-world pediatric PT visits, assessments, and documentation are handled.
Participate in product planning discussions and user-experience reviews.
Offer guidance on compliance needs specific to pediatric home health.
Optional: Shadow sessions or walkthroughs of typical patient scenarios to help guide system design.
Qualifications
Active Texas Physical Therapist (PT) license.
Minimum 2-3 years of pediatric home-health experience required.
Proficiency with multiple home health EMR systems is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of documentation standards, OASIS-equivalent pediatric requirements (if applicable), and home-health operational workflows.
Excellent communication skills and ability to translate clinical work into actionable recommendations.
Comfortable participating in virtual or in-person consulting sessions as needed.
