    ChildServe has an opening for a full-time Custodian.This team member performs routine and comprehensive custodial maintenance to provide a clean, orderly, and safe environment for children, families, and staff. Schedule/Where You'll Be Full-time Work is completed at our Johnston location Schedule is negotiable How You'll Make an Impact Schedule, coordinate, direct and perform routine and comprehensive custodial maintenance of assigned facilities. Respond to service requests and coordinate resources. Report and respond to emergency calls for custodial assistance. Operate power equipment such as carpet extractors, pressure washer, hand and power tools and agency vehicles as needed, following safety requirements. Clean and disinfect all areas as assigned by completing vacuuming, carpet cleaning, window washing, trash removal, etc. in accordance with established procedures. Order and stock facilities with paper and supplies. Maintain inventory and submit written requests for supplies. Coordinate and assist with the set up and take down of furniture and equipment as needed. Perform various maintenance and custodial duties such as installation and repair to fixtures in areas. Troubleshoot and repair minor plumbing and electrical problems; replaces a variety of light bulbs and lighting accessories. Complete minor grounds keeping duties and other related tasks as requested. What You'll Need High school diploma/equivalent required One year of custodial experience. Custodial and building maintenance in a school setting preferred. Lift up to 50 lbs, be mobile within the clinic areas, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand. Frequent contact with water and strong cleaning agents and disinfectants.
