Job Description: It is the responsibility of the Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to provide one-to-one services to an identified child/adolescent and family to reduce maladaptive behaviors in the home, school & community. Schedule Details: Full-Time Location: Reading, PA Program: Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) Pay Rate: $18+/hour Job Functions: Implement clinical service delivery goals consistent with overall agency goals and policy/procedures Report to direct supervisor, and other administrative staff as required, in a timely and comprehensive manner Complete all training requirements as dictated by the state prior to working alone with clients (6 hours supervised hours in the field) and any other required thereafter Submit to Human Resources, in a timely manner, copies of all required documentation regarding degrees, licenses, certifications, clearances, and formal training Provide services as defined by the program description, and best practice standards, and in full compliance with licensure standards Maintain professional relationships with consumers, their families, payers, community support service representatives, co-workers, and other agencies Participate in interagency meetings, as required, and represent the agency in an effective and professional manner in all contacts with clients, payers, and collateral staff Ability to work within a group to develop internal systems to improve and ensure quality services Prompts safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors in order to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills Provide all authorized client services and provide supporting documentation for re-authorizations, as necessary, in a timely manner Submit accurate and timely payroll and billing documentation Implement interventions effectively based on the treatment plan and behavior management plan as developed by the Behavior Consultant Provide crisis intervention to clients, when indicated, to stabilize acute crises Participate in all required individual and peer supervision, as well as all applicable program staff meetings Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelor's Degree required Experience: One year of full-time experience in providing mental health support services to youth, or young adults Licensure/Certifications: Have certification as BCAT (Board Certified Autism Technician Certification) Required Clearances: Pennsylvania Child Abuse, Criminal and fingerprint-based federal criminal history; Verification that employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list Note: At the discretion of the Personnel Officer, additional related experience and/or education may be substituted instead of the requirements specified under Education and Experience What's in it for you? Program: Intensive Behavioral Health Services Location: Allentown, PA Schedule: Part-Time Pay Rate: $18-20/hour Short/General Description/Summary: *We provide on-site ABA training for this position, taking place during your orientation period* It is the responsibility of the Behavioral Health Technician (BHT-ABA) to provide one-to-one behavioral intervention services to teach communication and social skills and reduce maladaptive behaviors in the home, community, and/or school setting. BHT-ABAs will utilize interventions developed from the science of Applied Behavior Analysis. Our Intensive Behavioral Health Services program is searching for part-time variable Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT) to join our team at the Central Elementary school in South Williamsport. While under the direction of the supervisor and/or master clinician, you will be responsible for the implementation of treatment plans, collection of daily data, and completion of daily documentation for assigned youth in the school settings. You will assist in the management of behavioral escalation by way of using de-escalation and behavior manamement techniques taught by the master's clinician and/or supervisor. You will work in traditional as well as non-traditional settings (i.e., home, school, day care, community, etc.) to meet the needs of the child. You will effectively document daily progress and relay information to team members, supervisors, and other staff as required. You will ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner. You will participate in individual and/or group supervision as required. Hours of Work Schedule and hours are determined by client needs. Services are provided in area schools, client homes, and community settings as indicated.
