What You'll Do:
Participates in community planning and public/special events related to the interest of the facility and the services and needs of the residents and families.
Plans, schedules, and supervises activities/events for residents which provide entertainment, intercommunication, exercise, relaxation, intellectual development, sensory and utilization of their talents.
Operates activities/events within budgetary limits/allocation for program services.
Supports residents' religious participation, coordinates spiritual needs with Chaplain, schedules religious services in coordination with the Chaplain
Arranges transportation to outside events/activities when necessary

Position Summary
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Jackson Purchase Medical Center embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, essential for providing specialized care to critically ill patients. This is an 8-bed unit that ensures patients receive optimal medical attention and support.
The Registered Nurse ICU provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
Documents patient care given.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

Attends staff meetings as required, participates in training programs, ensures completion of annual competencies.
Stays up to date with Health System information by reviewing written and electronic communications from various sectors of the System.
Works within and as a member of the Sleep Disorders Team but is able to function independently when necessary.
CRT will also be considered at the appropriate CRT rate.
Qualifications
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
Registered Respiratory Therapist as described by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Holds current mandatory certification in the state to practice Respiratory Therapy in the state where work is being performed.
Associate degree in applied science or equivalent.
All Registered respiratory therapists must maintain their credential as described in the Continuing Competency of the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Failure to maintain the credential will result in a demotion transfer to Respiratory Technician until their credential is reinstated by the NBRC
ACLS certification- if not already certified, will be required post-hire

Your Role & Responsibilities:
Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living to meet the residents' physical, mental, social, emotional and spiritual needs.
Demonstrates ability to provide grooming needs regarding hair care, oral care, assistance with cosmetic and grooming needs as well as dressing, bathing, escorting, bedside assistance and assistance with toileting.
Demonstrates ability to assist in the delivery of resident activities that will provide entertainment, socialization, exercise, relaxation, creativity and fulfillment for residents.
Participates in family conferences as needed.
Potential housekeeping shifts
Demonstrates ability to communicate resident's status and current needs as wells as to identify and report concerns.
Provide customer service to the residents and visitors.
