We are looking for a professional and responsible On-Campus Transportation & Facilities Support Officerresponsible for providing safe, reliable transportation services for residents and visitors, while also supporting day-to-day facilities operations. This hybrid role ensures the smooth operation of transportation schedules, assists with basic maintenance and security needs, and contributes to the overall safety and comfort of the campus environment. This person must bring a special combination of energy, enthusiasm, positive motivation and self-direction to the job. They must possess superior service orientation and be dedicated to seeing that resident's needs are met.
Additionally, this is a hybrid role which involves both security, maintenance and transportation. It offers a great opportunity to the experienced SecurityOfficer who enjoys manual tasks. The maintenance ‘arm' of your role will require you to assist with general on-site repairs such as painting, moving furniture, and unblocking drains as directed by your manager while working as an enthusiastic team player to complete tasks and meet needs as they become apparent.
Responsibilities
Assist with light maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, performing minor repairs, and room set-ups.
Support facilities team with preventative maintenance, inspections, and work orders as assigned.
Monitor campus grounds for safety hazards and report or address issues promptly.
Provide support during emergencies, such as transporting individuals or assisting with safety procedures.
Assist with moving equipment, supplies, and furniture as needed.
Assist with any other Facilities related tasked assigned by Facilities Director, Maintenance supervisor and/or Facilities Director Assistant
Qualifications
Valid AZ driver's license required.
Fingerprint Clearance card required.
General on-site repairs such as painting, moving furniture, unblocking drains, and as directed by your manager.

Skills required include great observation, good judgment, common sense, and excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
Must have some experience or training in computer operation.

**JOB SUMMARY**
The Police Officer is a sworn officer, responsible for a variety of law enforcement, security, loss prevention, and customer service related duties, and a visible presence to deter hospital threats. Patrols assigned areas in vehicle, by bicycle, and on foot to detect and deter crime.
Apprehends subjects committing crimes.
Responds to emergency calls, safety escorts, and calls for assistance.
Produces complete, accurate and concise reports, to includes but is not limited to criminal offenses, false fire alarms, safety hazards and general information, consistent with internal processes and as prescribed by law.
Serves in specialized units such as investigations, fire safety, crime prevention, and training as assigned and emergency management.
Completes initial investigations and follow-up investigations as assigned.
Participates in crime prevention strategies and special programs as assigned.
Enforces state laws, policies, procedures, and forwards the mission of the organization.
Transports legal documents, valuables, medical instruments, supplies other secure articles as assigned to ensure the safe and timely transfer of valued articles.
Stays current with applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws and guidelines that impact or govern the department and organization. Stays abreast of the latest developments, advancements and trends in the security field by attending training, reading security literature and professional journals.

What We're Looking For
Baylor University is seeking the Police Officer position to support the mission and vision of Baylor University within the Department of Public Safety and reporting to one of the Patrol Lieutenants. This position will work closely with the other members of the Baylor PD staff, Baylor faculty and staff, students, guests of Baylor, and external first responders. The position enforces federal and state law and Baylor University policies while patrolling campus. The successful candidate will have the ability to relate to all members of the Baylor community, a desire to help others, the ability to demonstrate good judgment under pressure, and demonstrate integrity in all job duties.
All applicants shall possess a minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Preference will be given to candidates with an Associate Degree from an accredited Junior College or 60 college hours from an accredited College or University. Additionally, applicants must be a minimum of 22 years of age at the time of their commissioning with the Baylor University Police Department, and possess a current Texas Driver's license or be eligible to obtain a Texas Driver's license.
All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

If the applicant's driver's license has ever been suspended, that will be an immediate dis-qualifier.

**Job Summary**

**JOB SUMMARY**

+ Produces complete, accurate and concise reports, to includes but is not limited to criminal offenses, false fire alarms, safety hazards and general information, consistent with internal processes and as prescribed by law.
+ Serves in specialized units such as investigations, fire safety, crime prevention, and training as assigned and emergency management.
+ Completes initial investigations and follow-up investigations as assigned.
+ Participates in crime prevention strategies and special programs as assigned.
+ Enforces state laws, policies, procedures, and forwards the mission of the organization.
+ Transports legal documents, valuables, medical instruments, supplies other secure articles as assigned to ensure the safe and timely transfer of valued articles.
+ Stays current with applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws and guidelines that impact or govern the department and organization. Stays abreast of the latest developments, advancements and trends in the security field by attending training, reading security literature and professional journals.
