About this Job:
Performs angiographic therapeutic and interventional procedures. Responsible for patient management prior to during and after the procedure.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies procedures quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
Administers contrast media into the coronary arteries as directed by a Cardiologist during a cardiac catheterization procedure. Recognizes the effect of pathology and vital signs to determine the amount of pressure of each hand injection.
Applies knowledge of the normal physiologic and electrocardiographic sequences of cardiac contraction and recognizes both minor and dangerous arrhythmia. Provides appropriate patient care as required.
Functions as a first assistant to the physician by scrubbing independently and aiding in the manipulation and placement of guide wires and catheters. Administers contrast media in accordance with physician instruction.
Maintains adequate basic interventional and cardiac supplies. Orders supplies from outside vendors in hospital purchasing system. Assists supervisor with all aspects of inventory control.
Maintains all appropriate patient records and department check sheets. Correctly enters patient and supply information into the RIS and/or hospital computer system.
Performs angiographic therapeutic and interventional imaging procedures. Performs electrophysiology and ablation procedures. Provides quality patient care and monitoring during all phases of the procedure in accordance with physician instructions and established policy. Has knowledge of all equipment inventory and location of supplies. Operates emergency equipment safely.
Performs hemodynamic physiologic patient monitoring recording calculations of cardiovascular procedures.
Responds to on-call emergencies in accordance with department policy.
Responsible for post-procedural duties including observation and management of catheter and/or device insertion site and patient discharge instructions. Provides patient transportation and communicates patient care status to receiving care unit.
Responsible for pre-procedural duties such as sterile tray preparation procedural patient education and confirmation of required lab work and patient medical history including indications for the study and all previous related exams.
Safely operates all imaging equipment (for example digital equipment pressure injectors processors rapid film changer and cine) to produce high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with departmental policy.
Schedules and maintains orderly patient flow.
Participates in meetings and on committees and represents the department and hospital in community outreach efforts.
Participates in multi-disciplinary quality and service improvement teams.
Minimal Qualifications
Education
Satisfactory completion of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology of at least 2 years duration. required
Experience
2 years experience in diagnostic radiology required
Experience in interventional radiology/cardiac catheterization or equivalent required
Licenses and Certifications
ARRT certification or registration. required
Radiology Technologist license in the State of Maryland. required
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification or eligibility required
CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required

Position Summary
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides compassionate, hands-on care to patients in a fast-paced trauma and neuro-rehabilitation environment. You will play a key role in supporting patient dignity, comfort, and recovery through daily care routines and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with AM/PM care: bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, and other personal care needs
Maintain a clean and safe patient environment: change bed linens, tidy bedside areas, and restock supplies
Ensure patient comfort by adjusting beds, providing pillows or blankets, and attending to hydration needs
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support optimal patient outcomes
Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals and LifeBridge Health's high-reliability care standards
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Maryland CNA or GNA License
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Newly constructed 19-bed closed observation unit - focus on the following diagnoses:
Chest pain, Syncope, COPD Astha Exacerbation, Pneumonia, TIA, UTI, AKI, Dizziness & Peripheral Vertigo, ESRD and Missed Dialysis, Cellulitis and Intractable Nausea and Vomiting.
Plan of care focused on discharging patients safely with protocolized care pathways within 24 hours
Increased nurse autonomy in facilitating care plan with support of Charge Nurse and Throughput Nurse
Designated provider team (MDs/ APPs) available with Care Management support
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the RN provides age-appropriate care. REQUIREMENTS:
Valid CNA Certificate from the Maryland Board of Nursing
Minimum of 6 months experience as a CNA, or 6 months experience as a Medical Corpsman, EMT, or comparable positions, or currently enrolled in an accredited RN BSN program - must have successfully completed the Fundamentals of Nursing and one semester of adult acute care clinical requirement

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Assists with case preparation following preference card guidelines.
Collaborates with Resource Nurse and Perioperative Educator on the development and provision of competency-based orientation for the scrub role in all services. Precepts staff and students on scrub role.
Ensures that equipment is functioning properly. Immediately identifies and troubleshoots equipment problems within specialty area and/or notifies appropriate personnel.
Functions as surgical assistant during operative procedures performing specified activities under the direct supervision of the surgeon. May act as second assistant by providing exposure and holding retractors.
Is called upon as an expert technical resource by OR staff for information relating to care and preparation of surgical instruments and equipment and for sterilization and disinfecting procedures. Assists with planning and maintenance of equipment.
Maintains aseptic techniques; actively monitors situations that could lead to breaches in aseptic technique.
Participates in meetings and on committees and represents the department and hospital in community outreach efforts as required. Serves as a contributing member on unit-based committees.
Participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Provides assistant circulator services for major surgical procedures conscious sedation local and emergency procedures.

Overview:Perform diagnostic procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with the established professional and departmental standards and procedures.Responsibilities:Reviews consultation request, checking for special instructions from requesting physician and consults with the Radiologist as necessary.
