This individual will also work every 4th weekend and every other holiday requirement. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Complete knowledge and proficiency in the use of radiographic equipment Developing and identifying radiographs; which includes proper identification of film, date and time Covering the Emergency Department (ED) OR, Surgi center, Portables, Fluoro Assisting with the training of radiology technology students Using and performing QC on PACS, Computed Radiography, and/or Digital Radiography Systems Operating the following equipment: Phillips, Siemens, Carestream and Canon Requirements: Associates Degree in Radiology Science RT Technologist experience preferred ARRT Registered Technologist required Delaware license Certification in CPR Flexibility in hours and duties is required Christiana Care offers: Full Medical, Dental, Vision and other insurance benefits 403 (b) with an employer match Generous Paid Time Off #LI-NC1 Hourly Pay Range: $32.77 - $52.43This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Adheres to department policies and protocols ensuring all examinations are optimized for interpretation, as demonstrated by exam results. Demonstrates the ability and skills to assist in teaching radiography students sound radiography principles as required by Organization. Communicates effectively with patient to obtain clinical history informed consent from patient or patient's chart to assist the physician in optimizing the performance and interpretation of the examination, as evidenced by the exam results. Maintains exposure reading within the As Low As Reasonably Achievable limits, as evidenced by monthly radiation exposure reports. Demonstrates the effective use of radiation protection procedures with collimation devices and protective shielding Demonstrates patient safety in department by use of side rails, braking mechanisms and patient monitoring, as demonstrated by risk management reports. Reports, documents and corrects any adverse, unsafe or unusual condition. Maintains an orderly, safe and clean environment. Ensures rooms are stocked with appropriate supplies and has required supplies readily available for procedures. Removes supplies nearing expiration from patient care areas. Operates imaging and other related equipment according to manufacturer's specifications, as evidenced by exam results. Demonstrates the initiative to stay abreast of technological changes and updates, as evidenced by submittal of documentation of attendance at seminars and in-services. Participates in department/hospital performance improvement initiatives, in-services and meetings, as evidenced by attendance records.Qualifications: Recent hospital experience preferred as a Radiologist Technologist. Operates x‐ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body. In addition, will be responsible for the performance of mammography studies requiring independent judgment, extended knowledge and expertise to apply ionizing radiation for radiologic purposes. Education, License & Cert: Completion of a normal radiologic technology training program in an AMA approved school (two years) with certification. Must be a registered technologist ARRT. Must also be licensed in the state of NY if performing location is a NY Regional Office Site. Certification required, ARRT (M)‐mammography certified within two (2) years of employment. Experience: Prefer six months to one‐year experience. Essential Functions: Performs diagnostic radiologic procedures and/or mammographic procedures. 2.
