The Clinical Supervisor, in collaboration with and under the direction of the Nursing Department Director/Manager, is accountable for ongoing shift leadership and operations of a clinical department and for nursing care safety and quality. The Clinical Supervisor uses sound human resource and budget principles to guide the daily provision of nursing services to patients and families. The Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for the management of clinical nursing services in Behavioral Health Services. Works closely with the Director, and Medical Staff leadership to develop, implement, and maintain clinical and educational programs that enhance the quality of care and achieve a high level of patient and provider satisfaction. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing, BSN degree preferred. CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: R.N. with current New Mexico State license or Compact license. BLS and other certification as applicable to area. National certification in area of expertise is preferred. SKILLS: Strong clinical and leadership skills and previous management experience including experience in facilitating interdisciplinary team collaboration. SKILLS: Specific knowledge of surgical procedures Extensive communication skills EXPERIENCE: Minimum Qualifications: Registered Nurse with a minimum of five years experience, one year of which is OR experience. Three (3) years of relevant experience in system applications with a minimum of one (1) year project implementation team lead role required. Desired Qualifications: Registered Nurse with a minimum of eight years experience. BSN preferred. Strong computer skills required. Five (5) years of progressive responsibility in large complex information systems environments with a wide variety of Healthcare Management Information Systems applications recommended. Extensive clinical practice preferred.
