As an entry-level Direct Support Professional (DSP) / In-Home Caregiver, you support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live their best lives as independently as possible. You provide this support and guidance in their homes or at programs they attend during the day. As you walk side-by-side with your participants, you always model appropriate social skills and behaviors. Your support is needed in many areas of daily living including medication administration, bathing, hygiene, basic first aid, shopping, meal preparation, transportation, budgeting, housekeeping, and home maintenance.
Using effective teaching and mentoring techniques, you also work with participants to learn new skills and achieve goals. You provide life skills training in areas such as employment, money management, and relationship-building. You also assist them with gaining employment and finding recreational activities that they enjoy. About the Role:
In this role you'll be a part of our patient service center team. You'll be the face of SleepQuest, working directly with patients to help them sleep well by guiding them through the proper set-up for overnight home sleep testing and therapeutic equipment (CPAP, Auto PAP and BiLevel). You'll have hands-on experience with our Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and help provide our patients with the right resources and instructions over the phone or in person; many of whom are diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA).
As a Respiratory Care Practitioner you will:
Educate our patients on Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA)
Provide information to patients regarding OSA
Occasionally review Dx study with patient
Assist patients through at home sleep studies
Educate patients on equipment usage in person and via phone
Prepare and dispense Durable Medical Equipment
Provide Cleanup and service equipment
Inform supervisor when clinical supplies need re-ordering
Complete Compliance within 90 days either in-person or by phone and send to MD and billing department
Maintain compliance measures
Chart patient encounters in our medical billing software
Communicate with patients regarding insurance compliance requirements
Ensure that all necessary paperwork and work orders are complete
Other ad-hoc projects/responsibilities as needed.
What we're looking for:
AA degree OR Medical Assistance Certification with 2+ years' hands-on experience in a medical office environment. (Successful candidate will train for a one-year period to become a Device Licensee.)
Basic Knowledge of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA)
Previous experience using electronic health record systems
Strong computer skills, to include proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities
Main Ingredients:
Providing World Class Customer Service and a positive customer experience as the number one priority daily.

Creating inviting, full and shopable departments.
Assisting the department managers in ordering for vitamin and body care departments and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
Assisting the department managers in managing margin, driving sales, and overall department profitability including minimizing shrink and maximizing effective purchasing.
Ensuring all in-stock products/conditions meet company standards.
Offering and following up on special orders.
Merchandising shelves, endcaps and dynamic displays.
Assisting in managing as well as participating in tagging, facing, rotating, cleaning, markdowns, stocking, and backstock.
Assisting in training and monitoring of department personnel including assigning and following up on tasks.
Conducting active and passive demos.
Working with the department managers to address performance issues within the department.
Supporting store opening and closing activities including Daily Sales Report (DSR) and cash handling and cashier closeout responsibilities.
Handling register functions including backup cashiering, managing customer returns, addressing customer complaints, and covering register shift changes, including those for scheduled breaks.
Maintaining the safety and security of customers and employees.
Answering customer questions per company standards and policies, including the use of Health Supportive Statements and/or statements of nutritional support.
Continually increasing product knowledge.
Using SAP and inventory management software, emailing and utilizing other IS programs as needed.
Working a schedule based on store needs which includes evenings, weekends, holidays. Position requires working five days, 40 hours per week and attending mandatory store meetings.
This position has limited Manager on Duty but is never intended to be the overall Manager on Duty for the store.
Although this is a general outline of job responsibilities all employees are expected to be “hands on” and do whatever it takes to get the job done and make the company thrive.
Qualifications
Recipe for Success:
High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
1 year of experience in grocery or retail environment preferred; natural foods background is a plus.
1 year of experience supervising others preferred.
1 year of experience in vitamins/supplements preferred.
Ability to pass food safety training courses and/or certifications as required by law and maintain compliance by keeping certifications up to date and registered if applicable.
Ability to manage changing priorities and to stay focused with the task at hand.
Possess a sense of urgency in the completion of tasks.
Possess excellent customer service skills.
Highly organized with great attention to detail.
Ability to take direction and follow through.
Must be cashier trained and able to count currency.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook

Chrysalis is a company that provides a variety of support services for at-risk adults and/or juveniles that have developmental and intellectual disabilities. These individuals may also have a variety of fragile medical issues. This position requires the ability to work in stress-filled and safety-sensitive environments, to follow pre-approved programs, to make crucial decisions in regards to the care and treatment of at-risk individuals, and to communicate those decisions effectively to others. This Position helps our individuals gain greater independence by making a difference daily in applying the five Chrysalis values: Respect, Safety, Fun, Mentoring, and Accountability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Punctuality and regular/consistent attendance at the worksite are required and the employee must be able adhere to their workplace schedule in order to ensure proper oversight of individuals.
Stay awake, responsive, and communicate effectively to the individuals
Teach individuals daily living skills
Plan appropriate activities for the individuals
Create opportunities for people to increase quality of life
Provide a clean, healthy, and safe environment
Implement Person Centered Support Plans and Follow Behavioral Plans
Supervise individuals according to the Supervision Guidelines and Support the individual's choices accordingly
Assist and supervise individuals with taking the appropriate medication
Complete necessary administrative tasks within established time frames
Complete all documentation required by Chrysalis and the State
Maintain communication with the Manager regarding the individual's needs
Follow the Provider Code of Conduct/ Abuse Neglect and Exploitation Policy according to state standards
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
Minimum of least 18 years old
Pass and maintain a passable criminal background check and LEIE per state regulations
Pass required controlled substance tests
Should possess the ability to speak, read and write effectively in English

Position Details
As an entry-level Group-Home Staff, you support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live their best lives as independently as possible. Your support is needed in many areas of daily living including:
Participating in fun activities
Budgeting
Meal preparation
Help the individuals try new things.
Shopping
Mentor the individuals to learn new skills
Qualifications and Skills
No experience needed.
Must be at least 18 years old
Must be able to pass a drug test and a background check
Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is a plus, but we're willing to train you.
