The Brandywine Senior Direct Claim Handler is responsible for all aspects of claim handling on a book of complex asbestos, long term exposure and environmental claims from first notice through resolution with guidance from, and reporting to, a Brandywine Vice President.
Analyze contracts, policies, applicable law and facts/circumstances surrounding claims to determine appropriate coverage position, and to resolve claims on reasonable terms and at an appropriate value.
Responsible for conducting/managing factual claims investigation, including communications with policyholders, remediation experts, counsel and others to gather all claim facts.
Negotiate cost sharing agreements with carriers/policyholders.
Assign defense counsel and manage litigation strategy and budgets.
Evaluate claims and make recommendations to management regarding claim resolution plans.
Maintain physical/electronic claim file, and claim information captured in claim systems.
Respond to internal requests for information from management, reinsurers, auditors, etc.
Prepare timely and accurate reports to management regarding significant claim developments.
Provide the highest levels of service to Chubb business partners.
Some travel may be required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High degree of technical competence in the handling of high exposure claims and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience - emphasis in the areas of asbestos and/or environmental claims preferred but not required.
4 year college degree.
Law degree preferred.

Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:

* Resolves claims by collaborating with internal and external business partners to develop, own and execute a claim resolution strategy, that includes management of timely and adequate reserves, collaborating with coverage experts, negotiating complex settlements, partnering with counsel to manage complex litigation and authorizing payments within scope of authority.

Licensed Agent Bonus Program
Through Kemper's Licensed Agent Bonus Program, new agents who are licensed to sell all Kemper Life Products will be eligible for up to $4,750 in bonuses during their first year.
· $750 bonus when hired and assigned to an agency
· $1,500 bonus after six production months
· $2,500 bonus after 12 production months
*To qualify for these bonuses, agents must maintain a $200 average monthly issued premium and be an active employee in good standing. Agents must be fully licensed to sell all Kemper Life products in his/her resident state. The Licensed Agent Bonus Program is not available to rehires or agents with temporary licenses.
Responsibilities
Day-to-Day Activities:
· Coordinating home visits and conducting sales presentations, recommending products, and closing new sales
· Prospecting for new sales opportunities
· Maintaining strong customer relationships by collecting premiums on a pre-arranged schedule that you determine
· Responding promptly to service requests such as beneficiary changes, claims, and loans
· Record keeping, accounting for money collected, and processing policy paperwork
Agent Expectations:
· Grow the assigned territory through new sales
· Build strong working relationships with customers

· Pursue continuous professional development in insurance products and sales effectiveness
Minimum Qualifications
· Must be fully licensed to sell all Kemper Life's products (Life, Health, P&C)
· Customer service experience
· Must be at least 18 years of age
· Valid driver's license with required auto insurance coverage
· Dependable vehicle for daily travel
· Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screening
· Authorization to work in the United States

The Institutional Consulting Associate partners with the Institutional Consulting Director (ICD)/team to address the specific needs and service issues of clients to provide a consistent and positive experience.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client Service:
As a senior member of the service team, provide coverage for a Graystone team including:
* Cultivating relationships with business partners and colleagues internally and externally
* Supporting the ICD/team in enhancing new and existing institutional clients by providing an exceptional client experience
* Assisting the ICD/team in delivering against their client service model, including preparing for regular meetings and tracking follow-ups
* Ensuring all client service functions are performed in a timely manner, assigning work to team members on a daily basis if/as needed
* Providing backup coverage for traditional registered or unregistered Client Service Associate responsibilities at the request of the client and/or ICD/team, such as executing money movement transactions, answering general non-investment related questions concerning client accounts, educating or enrolling clients in digital tools (e.g., MS Online), accepting or entering unsolicited orders and/or entering solicited orders in a clerical capacity
* Remaining current on all policies, procedures and new platforms and shares reminders and best practices with other service team members
Business Development Support:
* Assisting the ICD/team in organizing around and executing against their business plan, partnering closely with other market stakeholders such as Practice Strategy Consultants and Branch Management
* At the direction of ICD/team, executes against all administrative elements of digital and in-person marketing strategies including conferences and seminars or webinars, websites, social media and regular email connectivity
* At the request of the client and/or ICD/team, preparing and reviewing various client reports or financial plans from firm-approved systems for existing or prospective clients
* At the request of the client and/or ICD/team, assisting with research using firm-approved systems
* At the request of ICD/team, participating in existing client and/or prospective client meetings and seminars, representing the service lens
* Participating in firm initiatives (e.g., training or education programs), special projects and/or other duties directed by local management
* Participating in quarterly/annual business performance reviews with the ICD/team
* Coordinating enrollment campaign materials and scheduling meetings for institutional investors
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, and SKILLS:
Education and/or Experience
* 5+ years of experience in a field relevant to the position required
* Four-year college degree or professional certification preferred
* Active Series 7 (GS), and Series 66 (AG/RA) or Series 63 (AG) and Series 65 (RA) required • Additional product licenses may be required
Knowledge/Skills
* Knowledge of financial services industry and investment products
* Technically proficient and quick learner of new and updated platforms
* Detail oriented with superior organizational skills and ability to prioritize
