Responsibilities Include:

The pay range for the role is $80,000 to $110,800. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors. Background
The Client utilizes Kronos Workforce Timekeeper Version 8.1 hosted in the Kronos Private Cloud, internally called MCtime, to collect time and attendance data for the County Government workforce. The County has approximately 40 departments with 13000+ records in the Kronos database. The Client uses both the project and hourly timecard views. The majority of employees make time and attendance entries via the internet or have timekeepers who do so on their behalf; approximately 400 employees use Kronos DX time clocks. Various scheduling systems interface with Kronos Workforce Timekeeper Version 8.1 to support the operational needs of individual departments such as the Department of Transportation, Transit Division, Fire and Rescue Services and the Police Department. The Department of Transportation, Highway Services Division, use an internal application called Crew Day Card; the Transit Services Division use Trapeze (non-Kronos); Fire and Rescue Services and the Police Department use TeleStaff, a Kronos scheduling module. The Department of Correction and Rehabilitation uses a stand-alone TeleStaff application for internal scheduling which does not interface with the Timekeeping application. Timekeeping policies and processes are governed by Client Personnel Regulations and Collective Bargaining Agreements. Timekeeping data is exported bi-weekly to the Enterprise Resource Planning System, Oracle eBusiness.
General system administration is required throughout the fourteen day pay cycle. Tasks include, but are not limited to, processing of special employee group access, schedule change and delegation forms, creating/maintaining/assigning schedule patterns and groups, reviewing and taking appropriate action on Transaction Assistant errors, monitoring routine interface jobs, creating reports based on changing business needs, creating/modifying SQL queries to support timekeeping related processes and configuration/re-configuration of pay codes, pay rules, work rules and/or assignment rules and troubleshooting of errors that could occur between the scheduling systems and Kronos Workforce Timekeeper and/or Kronos Workforce Timekeeper and Oracle eBusiness.
The Client is in the process of upgrading to the Pro WFM Time and Scheduling application with a target implementation date of 1Q26. Several upgrade tasks are required for smooth transitions. These tasks include, but are not limited to, optimizing the current configuration, new feature configuration, conversion of existing workforce integration manager interfaces, revision of SQL queries and routine reports, updates to genies, Hyperfinds, etc. and testing. Participation in the creation of training documents will also be required. Facilitation of department briefings and/or training may be required.
Role and Responsibilities
Client seeks one skilled functional administrator(s) who will work under the direction of the functional program manager and closely with various project teams, departmental subject matter experts and the vendor. The functional administrator will provide support throughout the pay cycle and must be capable of providing administrative and functional support to MCtime (Kronos Workforce Timekeeper V8 and Pro WFM) end users; providing staff level support for the MCtime system; acting as a liaison to County department representatives and coordinating research into and resolution of user problems including system functionality, employee schedules, pay rule assignment, timeclock configuration; researching and responding to user inquiries and issues reported to the MCtime Help Desk. The administrator would be responsible for the following:
Assisting with the implementation of department specific timekeeping related processes and procedures used in conjunction with the MCtime application
Participating in the testing of system upgrades and service patches; create/update test scripts
Participating in the process of reporting inadequacies and problems (“bugs”) (both functional and technical) within the MCtime (Kronos Workforce Timekeeper V8) application to the functional project manager for submission to the vendor (Kronos)
Processing forms, submitted by department representatives, related to MCtime system administration functions, including, but not limited to:

Minimum Qualification
Proficient in Kronos Workforce Timekeeper V8 and can quickly learn and understand the County's configuration

What you'll bring to the role:
Skills Required:
3-5+ years of hands-on experience in C#, .NET and related technologies
Hands on experience in integrating and working in a Java full stack environment.
Hands on experience in working on multi-threaded, highly available applications.
Hands on experience in working in Core Java, Spring, Spring boot, RESTful web services.
Practical experience working with databases (preferably DB2) and database interface layers.
Candidate must have effective communication skills, should be able to work across both Business users and IT teams across regions and have the ability to lead IT deliverables.
Candidate must have an understanding of agile development methodologies and understanding of DevOps practices and tooling.
Proven experience in working within an Agile framework.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Skills Desired:
UNIX (Experience in any scripting language)
Prior knowledge of Autosys, Kafka, MQ and other streaming platform would be useful.
Awareness of UI technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, and HTML, Angular would be useful.
Knowledge of Financial market, Banking & Wealth Management.
Experience in collaborating with partners and stakeholders across geography & time zones.
Exposure to JIRA or other ALM tools to create a productive, high quality development environment.
Prior experience working in the Financial Services Industry
Education:
Minimum BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
