The Warehouse Receiving Clerk coordinates receipts and returns of materials ordered by the company ensuring that shipments are as ordered. This position will have the responsibility of distribution of goods and mail within the company. In addition there will be functions that assist finance and the property. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Opens as necessary, inspects for damage, and checks quantities received against Purchase Orders, assuring shortages are indicated on shipping papers, and overages returned to vendor * Distributes goods and mail to include truck shipments, UPS, DHL and Fed Ex deliveries; all mail distribution; and runner duties for deliveries and Pick-ups as assigned by Purchasing Manager. Computer skills will be used to track orders, verifying backorders, and access to Purchase Order index. * Receives shipments in purchasing/receiving system * Forwards all packing lists and receiving tickets to Purchasing signed and verified as to count. * Determines most economical and quickest shipping method, and affixes proper labeling to items sent. Packs as required and maintains a log for all mail and shipments received that require special handling into the receiver's hands. * Coordinates damage claims, corresponding with shipper to rectify shortages. Routes items to departments. * May operate Pallet Jack as necessary, works with Inventory Specialist to store, track and label F&B orders. * Clerk will drive company vehicles as necessary to pick-up emergency items required to continue company operations, according to schedule of work assignments. * Distributes mail daily into departmental slots in mail room and keeps room neat and orderly. * Assist with the general upkeep and organization of facilities and property as time allows. * Daily collection of audited materials and backing support. * Assisting with monthly inventories. * Reviewing and submitting audit and compliance paperwork. * Assisting with audit analysis and verification, as well as retrieving backup support. * Other finance/ property duties as assigned. REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES * Oral and written communication skills. * Willingness to work flexible hours and handle high pressure deadlines. * May be asked to operate a company vehicle and/or equipment that requires a valid Driver's License. This role is responsible for system monitoring, troubleshooting system issues and providing a positive customer experience by solving issues reported through email and phone calls. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Responsible for creating a positive customer experience by professionally, accurately and efficiently handling incoming calls from United Tote customers and Field Operations to answer questions and/or assist in troubleshooting of communication equipment, consoles, terminals, tote boards/auxiliary odds boards, and other equipment. * Acts as a back-up race track operator to ensure the integrity of the United Tote system. * Monitor error logs, system alerts, and communication networks. Report errors per guidelines including escalation based on established protocols. * Responsible for data entry into scheduling system and validating the accuracy of the entries. * Efficiently and accurately completes all tasks on the daily checklist. * Acts as a project team member for assigned projects. * Performs User Acceptance Testing for new software versions. * Efficiently and accurately completes system configuration requests as assigned . * Monitor for race processing errors and perform preliminary troubleshooting. CDRT also has a year-round simulcast wagering facility . *********************** JOB SUMMARY An Event Manager is responsible for planning, organizing and executing various type events on both race-days and non-race days at Churchill Downs Racetrack (CDRT). Event Managers contribute to the planning, preparation, and execution of The Kentucky Derby and All Race Meets. In addition to race-day responsibilities, Event Managers work with various special event cliental.
