Job Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: all duties must be performed in a safe manner according to company safety standards and regulations/specified NEC codes if applicable. Other duties may be assigned as directed. Preform mechanic skills including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and simple electrical troubleshooting and repair. Read and comprehend production equipment operations and service manuals to aid in machine troubleshooting and repair. Perform simple machinist task. Identify and install parts from inventory and document. Identify high voltage and low voltage circuitry. Perform plumbing, basic carpentry and painting task. Maintain waste management (paper, metal, wood and chemical) Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain clean an orderly work area. Fabricates with metal and/or repair metal structures, includes welding and torch use. Trains operators and/ or supervisors in the proper way to maintain / inspect machines. Basic computer skills, including Windows, Word Processing, spreadsheets, and MPS System (Maintenance database software) and SAP. Blueprint/schematic reading-drawing. Preventative maintenance Blueprint/schematic reading-drawing. Safety - must be able to perform all requirements safely. Perform other tasks as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: Industrial Maintenance Certification or Industrial Electrical Certification. Previous & demonstrated experience with hydraulics, pneumatic, electrical systems, and motor & controls. LANGUAGE SKILLS Able to communicate with his or her manager or supervisor and understand instructions, as well as communicate with fellow employees while on a job. Be able to read a Maintenance work order, and or fill out a maintenance work order. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, and multiply fractions. Be able to use a calculator for all aspects of math functions. Be proficient with a protractor. REASONING ABILITY The Employee shall be able to isolate mechanical, including (pneumatic/hydraulic), and basic electrical problems and repair them within a reasonable amount of time. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Employee must be able to occasionally lift/carry 1-20 pounds and lifting 21-50 less often from the ground to waist height. This job requires some reaching, kneeling, squatting, and climbing stairs. Hand/wrist work including power grasping, pushing and pulling materials, walking and constantly standing on your feet all day. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. WORK ENVIRONMENT The Employee must wear protective eyewear and earplugs when using compressed air, use of power tools, and during many maintenance functions. There will be work will be inside the plant with some outside work, as well as on the roof, and in the ceiling inside the plant. The plant is chilly in the winter, and hot in the summer. The plant is generally clean of debris and clutter, but the manufacturing process generates a fair amount of corrugated dust. There are no hazardous materials inherent in the manufacturing process. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
