Meeting and interacting with customers.
Short staffed and poor management.
Free drinks during your shift.
Better staff each store and each shift. Give the employees a discount! On anything! Employees should rank higher than the general population they serve. So give employees better incentives for doing their job well. Increase hourly wages! Circle K pays the lowest I’ve seen in the area for convenient stores. This is a main reason there’s so much turn over in staff. Not to mention, customers/people in general are unpredictable. Employees are at the forefront of this. Working in a convenient store setting can be potentially dangerous if the wrong people cross boundaries. Employees have died doing their jobs due to crazy customers. So I don’t think it’s asking too much to expect to make the same hourly wage than a fast food associate.
I went online and read through techniques on interviewing processes in general. FYI Circle K will conduct two separate interviews. This is a standard company wide process. The first interview is generally conducted by the store or assistant store manager at the particular store applied to. The second interview is conducted by the district manager themselves.
Definitely ran among the lowest of the convenient store market.
This company does a good job in this area.
The customers.
In my view, the sole advantages are weekly pay and flexibility.
As an ex-management team member, my main grievances were unrealistic expectations, insufficient support/appreciation, and inadequate compensation.
Although I don't have a favorite, People Perks benefits are considerate and equitable. It's commendable that (PTO) is now available to all employees, not limited to management or those past their first work anniversary, which is a significant improvement from previous years.
Get to learn every aspect of the job.
11 dollar an hour starting pay, no promotions and small raises. This job promises bonuses that never happen, and say they will hire management directly but after the interview they say they only promote from within.
Coffee is the only benefit.
The CEO asked managers to cut overtime in order to save money. They make 194,000 annually per person and want to cut costs at the expense of the employees.
I would raise pay to be reflective of other similar jobs in the area. I would identify and promote candidates that are not only qualified but also talented. I would also remove the keys from bosses that are incompetent.
I walked in, told them they would hire anyone, and took my job.
This company drags the median pay down in my area.
There is very little diversity.
Being able to virtually be my own boss.
My customer's 1st, then the diversity of my current position.
Upper management's delusional & unrealistic expectations from workers. Their complete lack of caring about the health & welfare of both employees & customers. Hazardous & unsafe work conditions & their phoney (yet transparent) concern for employees well-being while being blind to some employees flagrant disregard for company protocol & then running good/long-term/loyal workers into the ground. Company motto is best stated as "well, IT'S A BODY!"
Right now only 20¢ off 20 gallons/per week of fuel.
I had the privilege of meeting different people.
Understaffed and the boss had favorites.
We got bonuses for selling certain items that were on sale and great health and dental insurance.
As Assistant manager, I solve cluster questions
Sometimes, employees, they did not show up that is my responseable to cover
Healthcare
Fast pace environment and working as a team
Having to pull doubles alot because employees didn't show
Working as a team in a friendly environment
Majority of the customer interactions are great and they are respectful. My managers are nice as well.
The pay and I’m not a full time employee.
The health benefits I received is my favorite thing about the job.
the people that I work with are very funny and kind I love my boss they are very understanding
Standing all day
Pay
Nothing at all
Because you get a 5 minute break every two hours, like that's gonna do anything. Oh you want time off? That sucks because the manager already has it off. No discounts no free drink. Nothing
Nothing
Nothing this is the absolute worst company to ever work for. They abuse the handicap and discriminate against employees with Disability's. They are cruel and it's a hostile work environment. It's not what you know it's who you know. Different rules apply to different people. If they sleep with the boss they can do whatever they please. It's like a soap opera who is the company easy girl sleeping with this week. Vendor ( only married ones) or boss ( only married ones). They they get promoted. Don't know what they are doing. Go against the ADA.
Upper management does not care about their employees. Work a job of 3 with no pay incentive.
The only thing that was good about working for Circle K was the 401k
