The Irrigation Foreman is responsible for the install and maintenance projects. The foreman is responsible for completing these projects with great precision and business minded efficiency. Overseeing crews ranging in size from one to ten depending on the job type and size. Primary Functions Direct Activities on the job site, they include but are not limited to: Coordinating work flow, hands on work, and operating machinery. Manage personnel effectively and efficiently. Communicating production goals and other items with crew members, lead Gardners, and Customers. Train and promote the development of crew members in the best practices of installation and company standards. Monitor all tools, equipment and machinery for the needed maintenance and installation. Track and record all job expenses, including but not exclusively hours and materials used. Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times, Trucks are kept clean and equipped with the correct and working tools. Responsibilities Supervise and manage Irrigation crews. Ensures that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignment. Participates in and conducts all job site safety meetings with the crew. Ability to drive a pickup truck and tow a single or double axel trailer. Ensures that all crew members utilize the required personal protective equipment (PPE). Working Environment The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing and or pulling. Frequent climbing and balancing; significant stooping, kneeling crouching, and or crawling. Generally, the job requires 5% sitting, 45% standing, and 50% walking.
