Are you interested in designing circuits for the next generation of AI chips? Join a team of dedicated engineers developing the custom SRAM circuits that help power these chips. You will have the chance to create novel low power and high performance circuits, and develop in-house design and verification flows for SRAM design that would be used across all NVIDIA products.

Designing best-in-class SRAM circuits on state-of-the-art technology nodes Optimizing circuits for area, performance and power Working with mask designers to craft dense pitch-matched layout Verifying for functionality, robustness and electrical integrity Running flows to streamline design automation, data collection and analysis, and ensure high yielding silicon

What we need to see:
BSEE required/MSEE preferred in Electrical or Computer Engineering with demonstrated experience (or equivalent experience)2+ years of experience in digital circuit or SRAM memory design.Experience with circuit design workflows including:Spice simulation and analysis Power characterization EM/IR analysis Familiarity with scripting languages - Python, Perl, Shell

Job Description:

Memory Circuit Design Engineer

We are looking for energetic and passionate memory design engineers to join our Central Engineering Group and be part of an elite memory team responsible for the development of memory compilers and custom macros of all types on the bleeding edge of process technology. Typically requires a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering.

Job Responsibilities

Design and build memory or circuit blocks at the gate or transistor level Simulate and analyze the circuit design using transistor level simulators Extract the layout and perform post-layout simulations and verification Floorplan physical implementation and leafcell layout integration to build the physical macro Integrate characterization flow to extract timing and power information Develop scripts to automate characterization flow, simulations, and verification Specify and verify various behavioral and physical memory models Document the design specifications, behavioral description, and timing diagrams Help specify silicon test plan and correlate silicon to simulation data

Skillset Required

Expertise in development of memory compilers and custom macros of all types; SRAMs, Register-files, Multi-ports, ROM, etc…Good understanding of transistor level circuit behavior and device physics Good understanding of signal integrity analysis, EM/IR analysis, and reliability analysis Good understanding of memory behavioral and physical models Good understanding of DFT schemes and chip level integration Familiar with test setups, silicon testing and debug Proficient in running simulators, writing automation scripts, and are tools savvy Good communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills Motivated, self-driven and good at multi-tasking

Hughes has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Level - High Speed Digital Circuit Design Engineer to join our Hardware Engineering team. This position will be located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD.

At Hughes we are developing some of the largest and most powerful satellite and terrestrial IP-based communications systems in the world. Our ground segment group in Germantown, Maryland has the need for hardware engineering professionals to help us achieve our vision of providing broadband connectivity everywhere. This role is to bring best-in-class solutions to our satellite communications products and high-throughput ground network systems.Responsibilities:

Design and develop innovative technical hardware solutions for satellite and terrestrial IP-based communications systems in the areas such as Digital High-Speed Hardware Design involving state of the art electronics circuit design, high speed FPGA board design, challenging on board Power Delivery Networks to support this FPGA design, as well as, high speed mixed signal ASICs.Participate-in a multi-functional engineering team environment to develop and integrate hardware, software, and network technology for products and systems Analyze customer needs and establish product objectives, specifications and technical solutions to ensure products satisfy customer requirements and deliverables Contribute to all aspects of the product life cycle (concept, development, integration, qualification, acceptance, delivery, and maintenance) Work effectively across multiple corporate functions including business, engineering, operations, and manufacturing
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related technical field10+ years of experience with in-depth knowledge and experience in one or more of the following disciplines: High speed digital circuit design using Xilinx FPGAs, Signal Integrity and Power Integrity tools. Must have experience with the design, design verification, and working with production facility to make sure it is manufacturable and reproducible.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related technical field Knowledge of systems including leading edge hardware design, Satellite Digital Modem Design, PTP/IEEE-1588, Interlaken, Serial RapidIO, 100 GigE ethernet, and JESD2048 design and implementation Experience with satellite and/or terrestrial IP-based user terminal architectures and systems Ability to lead cross technical engineering teams in design and development projects with external customer deliverables
Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
