Job Description

We are looking for a full-time Summer/Fall 2022 Co-Op who can work 40 hrs per week. This exciting position requires knowledge of RF and Analog circuit design. Examples include Low Noise Amplifier, RF Switches, RF circuit matching, Band Gap/PTAT circuit design, Regulators, Charge Pumps. It is also expected that the candidate can perform bench evaluation of circuits that includes gain, noise figure, linearity, spurious. Deep familiarity with simulation tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre RF, HFSS, ADS is desired. Candidate is expected to be a team player and comfortable with presenting his/her finding to the team.

This person will have various responsibilities. Candidate will be responsible for the analysis, design, simulation and development of RF LNA and SW IPs for next generation mobile devices using SOI technologies. The Candidate will also be responsible for writing bench test programs, lab evaluation of test chips and PCB design . The candidate will perform chip top level circuit function verification.

Job requirements

+ Current student enrolled in Electrical Engineering Master's program in a reputed University

+ Some undergraduate and graduate level course work in some of the following areas- Microwaves and RFIC design including LNA, PA, switches, filters, matching networks and T lines

+ Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) and the ability to work effectively with other members of the product development team

+ Understanding of device physics, modelling and process technologies

Preferred qualifications

+ Deep understanding of RF and microwave theories and concepts, such as S-parameters, transmission lines, couplers, distributed systems, passive RLC and resonance, noise, linearity, stability

+ Understanding of LNA design

+ Some experience using RF design tools such as Cadence ADE, Keysight ADS, EMX, ADS Momentum, HFSS, etc

+ Some familiarity with RF communication systems and transceiver architectures

+ Some hands on lab measurement experience
