Role Description Arm is seeking a highly organized and technically knowledgeable Program Manager to lead Arm's asset, material, and inventory management processes within our R&D infrastructure. This individual will build and operate the end-to-end material lifecycle that supports our engineering labs and data centers-ensuring that every component, from GPUs and custom accelerators to cabling and spares, is tracked, delivered, and ready when needed. In this role, you will create the frameworks, tools, and workflows that ensure reliability, compliance, and operational excellence across our global lab network. Key Responsibilities * Develop and implement a comprehensive asset management framework, including processes, tools, and governance standards. * Lead inventory planning, delivery scheduling, and tracking for AI/ML hardware, HPC systems, and supporting infrastructure. * Establish and lead on-site spares programs across all labs to ensure continuity of operations. * Be responsible for the full material lifecycle, from procurement to asset destruction and secure disposal. * Collaborate with supply chain, facilities, IT, and engineering teams to maintain synchronization of hardware deliveries, records, and readiness. * Design dashboards and reports to monitor asset utilization, inventory health, and audit compliance. * Develop training and documentation to ensure consistent implementation of asset policies across global sites. * Partner with trade compliance and security teams to ensure sensitive or export-controlled materials are tracked appropriately. Required Skills and Experience: * 7+ years of experience in hardware operations, inventory or asset management, or supply chain management in a technology or engineering environment. * Strong background in hardware lifecycle management-preferably in labs, datacenters, or HPC environments. * Proven experience implementing asset management systems or CMDBs (ServiceNow, Odoo, NetBox, or similar). * Deep understanding of material flow, logistics, and traceability for technical infrastructure. * Strong analytical skills and proficiency with data tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Smartsheet). * Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and operational teams. * Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable, repeatable processes. Preferred Qualifications * Experience working with AI/ML or high-performance computing (HPC) environments. * Familiarity with export control tracking, ITAR/EAR compliance, or asset chain-of-custody. * Prior experience in R&D lab operations, data center environments, or engineering infrastructure programs. * PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent certification a plus. The Role: We are seeking a Senior Director, Customer Program Management - Data Center GPU to lead end-to-end program execution and customer success for AMD's datacenter GPU products. This leader will own program strategy and delivery across OEM/ODM partners, Cloud service providers (CSPs), and end clients to drive platform development, cluster deployment & performance tuning and ensure final customer satisfaction for AMD DC GPU solutions. This role will align cross-functional business development, engineering, product, support, and GTM teams to accelerate customer ramp, protect relationships, and maximize adoption and uptime of AMD datacenter GPU deployments. The Person: The ideal candidate combines strong technical credibility in datacenter GPU systems and large-scale deployments with proven leadership in program and customer management. They operate effectively in a globally distributed, matrixed organization, translate customer requirements into executable programs, and drive disciplined, cross-functional execution from design-through-deployment and into sustained operations. Experience working directly with OEMs/ODMs, CSPs and AI end customers on platform development, validation, cluster bring-up, performance optimization, and post-deployment support is essential. Key Responsibilities: * Own end-to-end customer programs for datacenter GPU engagements, from platform definition with OEM/ODM partners through cluster deployment and long-term operational success. * Drive customer satisfaction and uptime targets by coordinating engineering, system validation, software stack (ROCm/ecosystem) integration, performance tuning, and support teams to resolve issues rapidly and prevent recurrence. * Lead technical engagements for proof-of-concept, development, validation, performance tuning, and production ramp with CSPs, OEMs/ODMs, systems integrators, and direct enterprise customers. * Define and enforce program governance, milestones, KPIs (e.g., time-to-production, uptime, MTTR), risk mitigation plans, and communication cadence with stakeholders. * Partner with Product Management and Engineering to provide customer-driven feedback on hardware, firmware, and software priorities and influence roadmaps to meet end-client performance and feature needs. * Oversee customer-facing support and escalation processes, including second-level engineering support, release coordination, and software/firmware upgrade strategies. * Develop and scale repeatable playbooks, tools, and validation methodologies for large-scale deployments and cluster management to improve time-to-value and reliability. * Represent AMD in senior customer and partner forums, negotiate technical and operational commitments, and lead cross-functional response to major incidents. * Collaborate with GTM, marketing, and partner teams to enable instance/product positioning, case studies, and customer references that accelerate adoption. THE ROLE: The Technical Program Manager will lead key engineering initiatives and manage AI Data Center deployments from concept to execution, including validation, optimization, and customer enablement. You will work across engineering and business functions to meet product objectives, drive schedules, and ensure resource and infrastructure readiness. The role blends strategic program management with hands-on execution, process definition, program structure, and continuous improvement. THE PERSON: You are a proactive and highly organized technical program manager with strong execution skills and the ability to manage complex dependencies across hardware, firmware, and software. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, communicate clearly with engineering and executive stakeholders, and excel at driving schedules, resolving issues, and maintaining strong cross-functional relationships. You bring structure, accountability, and operational discipline to program execution. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Define, plan, and drive projects and program plans based on management and senior technical guidance. * Develop program schedules considering drivers, software stack components, hardware/firmware dependencies, and negotiate staffing plans. * Manage the end-to-end cluster development cycle, including forecasting, sourcing, procurement, and infrastructure readiness. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define dependencies, eliminate process gaps, and prevent delays. * Maintain the Plan of Record (POR) and hold teams accountable for deliverables. * Establish, enforce, and refine processes to achieve operational efficiency. * Participate in forums to provide concise updates to executives and engineering teams. * Build and maintain formal program management artifacts (Plan of Record, statements of work, timelines, budget, scope, KPIs). * Plan for risks, identify prevention methods, and drive issue resolution to optimize engineering costs. * Communicate program concepts, milestones, and progress regularly with stakeholders. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: * Multiple years of technical program management experience leading integrated system-level solutions spanning hardware and software. * Proven self-starter with a record of taking initiative and delivering results. * Excellent communication, executive presentation, and problem-solving skills. * Strong organization and planning skills with experience driving development schedules and managing program risk. * Proactive in involving the appropriate contributors in planning, decision-making, and implementation. * Skilled in problem resolution with internal and external engineering groups. * Thrives in fast-paced environments and maintains productive cross-functional relationships. * Experience with JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, Teams, and data analysis using visual dashboards (pivot tables, PowerBI, etc.). * Experience with Agile methodology. * Engineering background preferred. ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS * Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent and with a Master's degree preferred. * Formal Project Management education; PMP certification/designation is a plus.
