Essential Functions:
Performs routine operation of assigned Swiss machine(s), including start-up and shutdown, in order to produce parts according to work order and within required tolerances.
Works on job orders with moderate to complex difficulty, including but not limited to screws, blanks, fixtures, non-engaging abutments, engaging abutments, analogs, and bite verifications.
Loads raw material into bar feeder and adjusts to machine.
Ensures continuous operation of machine, while monitoring product quality through regular inspection intervals.
Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
Performs first article inspections as assigned or necessary.
Performs routine machine maintenance.
Detects and reports faulty equipment, defective material, and any unusual conditions to management.
Works on different types of equipment to carry out a particular phase of the production cycle.
Follows all directions and safety rules regarding proper machine operation, handling, and guarding.
Maintains work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and organized condition.
Maintains and updates work order details on reports and production documents, such as orders and quantity produced and hours worked.
Ensures documentation pertaining to machine operations and work orders are in order (part number, revision, etc.) and maintained at workstation.
Offsets machines to get part in print with general supervision.
Applies tool changes and general machine center requirements for proper operation of machines.
Changes drills and turning tools.
Runs complicated parts, including but not limited to implants, scan bodies, abutments, and Ti bases.
Performs other duties and projects as business needs require at the direction of management.
Education and Experience:
Minimum two (2) years of experience operating Swiss CNC machines.
Special Requirements/Certification:
Must complete and pass internal Swiss Machine Operator 2 exam to be eligible.

Performing precision Toolroom operations including milling, turning, grinding (surface/ID/OD), honing, blending, and polishing of deep cavity forming dies

Wastewater Enterprise:
The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) Wastewater Enterprise (WWE) operates and maintains San Francisco's combined sewer system to protect public health and the environment. These services extend across eight urban watersheds, more than 1,000 miles of pipe, 24 miles of transport and storage facilities and benefit every resident and visitor of San Francisco. WWE operates three all-weather wastewater treatment plants, one wet-weather facility, 32 pump stations, eight transport/storage facilities, and 34 combined sewer discharge structures to treat an estimated 34.6 billion gallons of wastewater in a typical year. In addition to treating wastewater, WWE also produces biosolids, a nutrient-rich soil-like product used as a synthetic fertilizer-replacement and soil amendment across the Bay Area.

Job Description:
This position performs preventive, routine and emergency maintenance/repair of a variety of Wastewater equipment and related system components. The incumbent will operate precision equipment and respond to trouble calls associated with Wastewater plant equipment and associated pump stations equipment. The nature of this work requires sustained physical effort and occasionally working in confined spaces. The incumbent may be required to work after hours due to staff shortages, to ensure safety and permit compliance or as part of a project or special event.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools, stationary as well as portable manual machine tools and Computer Numeric Control (CNC) machine tools such as mills, lathes, drills, saws etc.
Rebuilds, refinishes, modifies, and/or fabricates component replacement parts for pumps, a variety type of valves, generators, cranes, special tools, compressors, pipelines, gear boxes, motors, bearings, bushings, shafts, and miscellaneous items throughout the Wastewater facilities.
Maintains and repairs a variety of instruments and mechanical equipment, including valves, castings, and various metal parts.
Diagnoses, installs, inspects, and tests machinery, parts, and equipment.
Reads and interprets schematic drawings, blueprints, and plans.
Prepares and maintains records and forms documenting work performed.
Dismantles and assembles light and heavy machines and/or equipment.
Manufactures/fabricates parts based on samples.
Performs all related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Program, set up, and operate five-axis CNC machining centers, ensuring precise alignment, calibration, and execution of multi-axis toolpaths according to job specifications.
Interpret and apply information from technical drawings, engineering blueprints, and 3D CAD models to define machining strategies, tolerances, and finishing requirements.
Determine and configure optimal tooling, work holding fixtures, spindle speeds, and feed rates based on material properties and part geometry.
Continuously monitor machining operations, performing real-time adjustments to offsets and parameters to ensure conformance with dimensional and surface quality standards.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and diagnostic troubleshooting on CNC systems to ensure consistent performance and minimize equipment downtime.
Interface with engineering, CAD/CAM, and production personnel to implement process improvements, reduce material waste, and enhance throughput.
Import, edit, and optimize 3D models and toolpaths using Autodesk Fusion 360 or equivalent 3D CAM/CAD software for machining readiness.
Safely operate a range of traditional and specialty fabrication tools including woodworking equipment, foam-cutting machinery, and hand tools used for custom millwork and sculptural forms.
Accurately verify critical dimensions and product specifications using measurement tools (e.g., tape measures, calipers, squares) to ensure precision and proper fit.

Mandatory Qualifications:
3-5 years of previous fabrication experience required.

Job Description
Under general direction, the Maintenance Machinist performs preventative and emergency maintenance and repair of a variety of heavy and light equipment, related systems and components.
Essential Functions:
1. Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools, stationary as well as portable manual machine tools and Computer Numeric Control (CNC) machine tools such as mills, lathes, drills, saws etc.
2. Rebuilds, refinishes, modifies, and/or fabricates replacement parts for pumps, generators, cranes, parking meters, transit vehicles/railway coaches and railway cars, fire alarm boxes, compressors, dredges, pipes lines, barges, ferry terminals and their components.
3. Maintains and repairs a variety of instruments and mechanical equipment, including valves, castings, and various metal parts.

5. Reads and interprets schematic drawings, blueprints, and plans.
6. Prepares and maintains records and forms documenting work performed.
7. Dismantles and assembles light and heavy machines and/or equipment.

PAY RATE
For positions located in California, pay for this job type falls within the following range and varies based on scope and complexity of job responsibilities: $17.26 - $23.00 per hour. As this position is assigned to the 3rd Shift, a 15% premium is added to the base hourly pay rate for all hours worked during that shift.

Position Description
As a CNC Milling Machinist, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:
* Set up and operate 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC milling machines according to instructions and engineering drawings
* Change tools and make offset adjustments
* Interpret blueprint dimensions
* Understand and follow machining policies and instructions (MI),QSR, ISO, SOP's work rules and safety guidelines
* Meet schedules and maintain quality standards
Position Requirements
This position requires the following skills and attributes:
* A minimum of 3-5 years work experience related to the set-up and operation of CNC milling machines
* Experience interpreting blueprint dimensions and using measuring tools
* Working knowledge of MI's, QSR, ISO, SOP's, work rules and safety guidelines
* Ability to read, write and speak in English
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
* Strong interpersonal skills
Preferred
* Experience with Makino, HAAS, and DMG milling machines is a plus
* Having their own tools is a plus (precision and hand tools)
Benefits
The base compensation range for this role is $20 - $33 / hour for the position in California. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries in California based on the date of this job posting. Job Overview
TRAK Machine Tools is seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Lathe Machinist Level 2 to support the production of high-precision components in our vertically integrated machine shop. This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual with 5+ years of CNC Lathe machining experience who is comfortable working independently, performing their own setups, and holding tight tolerances on complex parts. You'll work on Siemens Sinumerik One, ProtoTRAK, and Mazak equipment - including proprietary machines we design and manufacture. Ongoing training is provided to familiarize you with our controls and processes.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines independently (mills, lathes, etc.) for production and prototype parts
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Machine parts to precise tolerances (±0.001")
Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, indicators, bore gages, etc.)
Identify and resolve machining issues (tool wear, surface finish, dimensional deviations)
Collaborate with programming and engineering staff to improve process quality and efficiency
Learn and adapt to new machines, software, and in-house manufacturing technology
Assist in training and mentoring Level 1 machinists when appropriate
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
Run multiple machines simultaneously as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of hands-on CNC lathe machining experience
Strong knowledge of machining principles, materials, feeds, speeds, and tooling
