Location: Tulsa Office Work Type: Onsite #LI-Onsite - Tulsa, OK At a Glance: An Electrical Engineer, Senior is responsible for work including, but not limited to, general electrical, power, cable/wiring management, sensors, wiring devices, control system implementation, motors/drives, API/NEC/NFPA/IEEE and other similar regulatory implementation and compliance as well as some troubleshooting/diagnostics/signal analysis for oil & gas drilling equipment and processes. What you will do: * Must be able to manage all aspects of an engineering project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget. * Design, communicate, and implement an operational plan for completing the project; monitor progress and performance against the project plan; take action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays. * Identify, develop, and gather the resources to complete the project. This may include preparing engineering designs and work specifications; developing project schedules, selecting materials and equipment. * Liaise with other operational areas in the organization (e.g., operations, other engineering disciplines, drafting) to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project. * Conduct meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project. * Provide after-hours/weekend support when needed * Domestic and international travel as needed for projects What you need: * Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited university required * Prior numerical computing and data simulation experience with MATLAB/Simulink, ETAP, SKM, SCADA, or similar. * Must be able to create and read logic and flow diagrams and schematics for system/program design, programming, simulation and testing, and start-up. * Prior experience in power systems, energy management, energy storage, microgrids, and ESG - Environmental and Social Governance- is desired. * Ability to work with multiple engineering disciplines and operational groups * Excellent professional and interpersonal skills. * PLC programming and/or high-level programming (C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.) required. * Must be able to analyze field problems; support technical service in determining various causes and solutions of software/hardware-related problems reported from the field. * Self-motivated individual with the ability to set and achieve goals. * Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and be able to communicate with the field * Solid documentation and organization skills. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. Not a must, but a plus: * 5+ years of oil and gas, automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, food processing, or similar experience preferred for senior level. * Hands-on field experience with power and control systems is a plus. * Configuration and programming experience with VFD is a plus. Responsibilities/Expectations: Leads the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks supporting critical infrastructure such as pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities Champions the integration of advanced technologies including automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage to enhance system performance and reduce operational costs Implements robust safety measures such as arc flash mitigation and fault detection systems to protect personnel and ensure infrastructure reliability Provides technical expertise in power distribution, electrical schematics, and system layouts for both new construction and upgrades to existing facilities Manages complex engineering projects from concept to completion ensuring alignment with business goals timelines and budget constraints Ensures compliance with all relevant safety, environmental and regulatory standards across electrical systems and project execution Collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet internal and external customer needs Mentors and supports the development of junior engineers fostering technical growth knowledge sharing and a culture of continuous improvement Other duties as assigned Education/Years of Experience: Staff: Required: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering field from an ABET accredited college or university, OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited college or university in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and (15) fifteen years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers or related industry Preferred: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited college or university Senior: Required: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering field from an ABET accredited college or university, OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited college or university in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and eight (8) years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers or related industry Preferred: PE License Preferred: Master's degree in electrical engineering III: Required: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering field from an ABET accredited college or university, OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited college or university in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and eight (4) years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers or related industry Preferred: PE License Preferred: Master's degree in electrical engineering Job Requirements: Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills Proficiency in reviewing arc flash studies and implementing improvements Working knowledge of electrical design codes (NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE, etc.) Preferred: Experience with PLCs Preferred: Project Management experience Preferred: Experience working in Preliminary-Front End Engineering and Design (Pre-FEED), Front End Engineering Design (FEED), or Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) of small to medium facility projects Preferred: Proficiency in designing, and implementing, Instrumentation systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems Shift/Work hours/Travel Requirements: Must be willing to travel up to 50% About Tulsa: Our corporate headquarters is located in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma, the 2nd largest city in Oklahoma and the 47th most populous in the U.S. Tulsa is known as the Mother of "The Mother Road" - Route 66, and boasts impressive art deco architecture, the #1 city park in the U.S. (The Gathering Place) and is a great venue for live music.
