    The Credit Risk Sr Professional will be a critical member of the Home Equity Credit Risk Team, generating the statistical analysis used to inform credit strategy. Will work with our data resources to formulate policy recommendations, communicate those recommendations to important stakeholders, and collaborate with diverse teams to see those recommendations implemented successfully. Will be expected to wear multiple hats, solving problems across the full credit lifecycle and will have the opportunity to take ownership of solutions and see them through to completion in a fast-paced, challenging environment. Primary responsibilities include: * Utilize analytical and technical skills to uncover insights, develop policy recommendations, and solve critical business problems. * Work with proprietary Citizens data in conjunction with bureau data, property data and alternative data sources to shape credit risk strategy. * Analyze portfolio trends and investigate emerging risks to drive optimization of credit policy in a constantly evolving landscape. * Design statistical and mathematical models for reporting and predictive analytics. * Develop, automate and deliver regular reports and communications to senior management. * Communicate recommendations and insights to key stakeholders to influence decision making. * Collaborate with diverse teams to see strategy proposals implemented successfully. Qualifications: * 3+ years of Credit Risk experience - preferably real estate lending (mortgage and/or home equity). * 3+ years of relevant experience in a quantitative role utilizing statistical programing languages. * 3+ years Quantitative Skills - ability to develop and implement effective portfolio management routines that monitor key metrics, benchmark performance vs. peers, and identify emerging trends. * Expertise with one or more of the following technologies required: SQL, Python, R, Tableau. * Ability to drive actionable outcomes from analytical insight and effectively communicate findings and recommendations to business leadership. * Exceptional problem-solving acumen with ability to think strategically. * Time Management - ability to prioritize competing assignments and thrive in a fast-paced results orientated environment. Education: * Bachelor's degree in quantitative discipline required (Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, etc.). * Masters/PhD in a quantitative discipline preferred. Key Responsibilities: * Data Management & Validation * Perform daily data validation and troubleshoot file load errors. * Engage business partners as needed, including managing help desk tickets. * Execute manual data loads and perform checksum audits to ensure accuracy. * Process Administration * Administer and monitor established processes supporting incentive plan operations, including: * Payee and hierarchy maintenance * Plan eligibility and participation * System extracts and reporting * Field-facing administrative tools like plan acknowledgement, allocations and roster validations * System & Initiative Support * Support ICM team role in SPM initiatives, including data migration to the data lake. * Maintain data dictionaries and manage new requests or changes to existing inputs. * Conduct internal system audits and cleanup activities. * Documentation & Compliance * Create and maintain documentation for internal procedures, audit routines, and colleague readiness. * Manage system access requests and perform regular User Entitlement Reviews. * Testing & Issue Resolution * Act as first-line contact for incoming questions and issues; manage ServiceNow tickets. * Test configuration changes, workflows, templates, and forms to ensure system integrity. * Collaboration * Represent the team in partnership routines and cross-functional initiatives. * Support quality assurance & internal audit testing Required Skills & Experience: * 1-3 years in business and data analysis, including requirements development and technical delivery. * Strong understanding of databases and SQL. * Knowledge of incentive plans and related administration processes. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Word). * Ability to work independently, resolve issues, and escalate appropriately. * Excellent follow-up and communication skills (oral and written). * Ability to manage competing priorities while meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs). * Ability to manage workload and incoming work with Agile methodologies (Kanban). Ascertain compliance of appraisal reports with the applicable Citizens scope of work and federal regulatory requirements and guidance including, but not limited to: Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery, and Enforcement Act of 1989 (FIRREA; 12 USC ยง3331, et seq.) and the implementing regulations promulgated thereunder by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) at 12 CFR Part 34 ("Real Estate Lending and Appraisals") "Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice" (USPAP); "Interagency Appraisal and Evaluation Guidelines" ("Interagency Guidelines"), dated December 2010, issued by OCC as periodically supplemented by Financial Institution Letters; and, "OCC Comptroller's Handbook: Commercial Real Estate Lending," by the OCC, dated August 2013 (OCC Bulletin 2013-19). * Manage risks associated with the commercial real estate appraisal and evaluation process for a given geographic market and/or assigned lending groups * Supervisory responsibilities may include administrative supervision and required process oversight, including adherence to internal policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and appraisal industry requirements for assignments * Real estate risk identification, quantification and consulting (including discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis) for the various commercial lending and credit functions throughout Citizens * Perform independent commercial real estate appraisal reviews of high complexity/risk properties including memorializing such review in a comprehensive written format for the benefit of internal customers (Relationship Managers/Portfolio Managers; Credit Officers); * Assist in the scoping and engagement of commercial appraisal/evaluation assignments, including third-party vendor selection, analysis type, report content, report format and contract authorization in accordance with policies and procedures. * Interact with senior management of Wholesale Credit Risk and Commercial Lending regarding projects especially for those properties that represented a higher degree or real estate risk or otherwise have identified appraisal issues or concerns. * Manage vendor relationships * Provide direct, responsive customer service to external vendors and internal customers (i.e., Relationship Managers/Portfolio Managers; Credit Officers) that RERS supports and serve as the primary liaison and point-of-contact with both internal customers and external vendors regarding regulatory requirements, identification and explanation of any issues of concern, and development/application of any potential risk mitigants.
