(EF) Participates in development of self and skills to enhance patient focused care. (EF) Uses authorized equipment within scope of practice to gather and document data on stable, established patients. (EF) Accurately records interventions in the Electronic Medical Record(EMR). (EF) Reports significant and/or abnormal values to licensed nurse on a timely basis. (EF) Actively participates in the departments performance improvement initiatives. (EF) Assists in meeting basic needs for patients in restraints within the PNT Scope of Practice. (EF) Performs patient care and duties with emphasis on patient rights, patient confidentiality, HIPPA compliance, adaption of care according to age and cultural or ethical considerations. (EF) Facilitates maintence of equipment by the standards of Citizens Medical Center. (EF) Demonstrates service excellence by utilizing the AIDET principles. (EF) Follows universal infection prevention precautions. (EF) Complies with Employee Health requirements for employment. Minimum Requirements EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Required: Graduate of accredited college, university or school of nursing. Stroke In-service annually. LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Required: Current license or permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in State of Texas; CPR (BLS); and NIH Stroke Certification 90 days from date of hire (except Pediatric and Nursery)*ACLS certification biannually for Emergency Dept., Cardiac Cath Lab, PACU, ICU and House Supervisors. **NRP, STABLE certification biannually for Nursery. All certifications for new hires/New GNs/RNs must be obtained within 12 months of hire. Current employees are responsible for maintaining certifications. All certification renewals will be completed prior to the expiration date.
