About the Position:

The Head Teller provides exceptional customer service at the teller window while efficiently processing retail banking transactions. The Head Teller maintain cash control, perform operational tasks, and uphold Citizen First Bank (CFB) Teller Standards and compliance requirements. Additionally, the Head Teller supervises teller operations in the branch, focusing on workflow, compliance, and security. The Head Teller leads by example to ensure the staff follows CFB standards and resolve complex issues as needed.
Head Teller Responsibilities:
Provides exceptional customer service by building goodwill and solving problems.
Makes sure teller staff are well-trained and effective, guiding them on policies and procedures. Supervises the teller line, including scheduling, managing tasks, and fixing balancing errors.
Helps with complex transactions and customer issues.
Manages cash reserves and places orders with the Teller Operations Manager.
Head Teller Requirements:
Minimum:
High school diploma or equivalent required, two years of teller experience plus one year supervisory experience or proven supervisory abilities.
Must be able to withstand varying degrees of stress, must be able to attend work regularly and on time and perform position requirements with little supervision.
Must have excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to motivate and lead a team, to include participating in branch activities and displaying positive behaviors. Ability to supervise and effectively resolve conflicts.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
Ability to easily adapt to change on a daily basis.
Completed CFT classes, Principles of Banking and Supervision. CFB in-house supervision course is acceptable. Acceptable balancing record.
Preferred:
Four years of teller experience with a minimum of one year as Head Teller

Special assets assistance - Interact with investors, brokers, loan offices, and attorneys with the sale distressed assets and portfolio not limited to providing loan document information, monitoring sales and the closings, process and keep track of deficiency judgements' generation of defaults letters, manage assigned portfolio of non-performing assets in conjunction with the assigned attorney; attend meditations and/or depositions. Coordinate with First Bank Florida attorney in negotiating; Preparing and reviewing Stipulation/Forbearance Agreements; manage all incoming bank REOs.
Update reports: SAG Status update report and ensures update in Premier Collection, REO status inventory report, Portfolio Management report, and deficiency report.
Prepare Datamart validation and certification as well as TDR reporting.
Assist with review of modification of cases (Hardship and Non-hardship), generate loss mitigation letters
Assists with follow-up with various action plans that transpire from the regulatory, audit and/or loan review examinations.
Backup for the review and maintenance of the Credit reports, New Money Approved/Closed & funded, Commercial & Consumer-Residential or other as requested
Backup for CRA monthly report submission.
May serve as back up for ordering of residential appraisals and update of log.
Support for Commercial Appraisal/ Appraisal review tracking.
Assist with loan processing as needed.
Support special Project and/ or audits as needed
Other Responsibilities:
Perform/ Assist with Check request, payment of invoices and GL reconciliations
Process deficiency payments
Review the monthly covenant report for accuracies, changes and updates,
Review ONBASE system file upload accuracy.
