What Work You Will be Responsible For:
* Oversee IT SOX internal audit and risk management engagements within the Risk and Compliance Services practice.
* Lead other types of consulting engagements such as IT SOX Internal Audit Co-Sourcing/Outsourcing, IT SOX Management Assist, IT Risk Assessments, IT Segregation of Duties Reviews, ITGC Reviews, HITRUST and Special Projects as necessary
* Prepare scoping and risk assessments or Internal Audit universe using a risk base methodology
* Mange multiple IT SOX 404 engagements including conducting walkthroughs, designing and leading internal control testing with periodic status updates to client's management
* Supervise, train, and mentor staff and seniors by providing ongoing real-time developmental feedback, both written and verbal, to support continuous growth and performance improvement.
* Review workpapers from both big picture and detail perspectives, and work product requires little to no updates from senior colleagues after submission
* Demonstrate strong multitasking, teamwork, and accountability while collaborating with engagement team members, leveraging current technology and tools to enhance the quality and efficiency of deliverables and services.
* Maintain overall responsibility for the profitability of engagements within their client portfolio, track budget to actual results

Basic Qualifications:

* 6+ years of experience in the fields of internal audit, assurance, consulting, advisory services, or a related field, either in professional services or industry

ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Tax Manager specializing in Consumer Products Group at Anchin will lead our tax team in delivering comprehensive tax compliance, planning, and advisory services to clients within the consumer products industry. This role requires deep technical expertise in Corporate and Partnership taxation, strong leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of tax regulations impacting consumer products businesses. The Tax Manager will collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to develop and implement effective tax strategies that align with business objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and manage tax compliance for federal, state, and local income tax returns, with a strong emphasis on Corporate filings for clients in the consumer products industry.
Ensure all tax filings are accurate, timely, and in compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
Oversee the maintenance and organization of tax records and documentation.
Drive tax planning initiatives and provide strategic advisory services tailored to consumer products businesses.
Identify and implement tax-saving opportunities and strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
Conduct in-depth research on complex tax issues, including corporate tax structures, and deliver innovative solutions.
Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
Understand clients' business operations, industry-specific challenges, and strategic goals to deliver customized tax advice.
Communicate complex tax issues and regulatory updates clearly and effectively to clients.
Supervise, mentor, and develop junior tax staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Contribute to recruitment efforts and the development of technical expertise within the tax team.
Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations, particularly those impacting entities and individuals and the consumer products industry.
Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education.
Develop and share best practices and innovative tax strategies within the department.
Implement efficient tax processes and procedures to enhance accuracy and productivity.
Monitor and manage tax project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA required.
Experience:
5+ years of progressive tax experience, with a strong focus on the consumer products industry and corporate tax matters.
Extensive expertise in Corporate and Partnership taxation, including compliance, planning, and advisory work.
In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, particularly those impacting corporate structures.
Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring and developing staff.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities to address complex tax issues.
Excellent communication skills and ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Proficiency in tax preparation and research software, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
Compensation:
Competitive annual salary in the range of $140,000 to $180,000 based on individual's experience level.
