We are looking for a Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) Director to join our Advisory Department. As a TAS Director, you will be responsible for providing excellent client service. ABOUT THE POSITION: We are seeking an experienced Tax Director or a Partner specializing in the Consumer Products Industry at Anchin. This is a senior leadership role for a seasoned tax professional with deep expertise in tax planning and compliance for businesses in the consumer products industry, including manufacturers, distributors, and retailers. The ideal candidate will combine technical excellence with strong business development skills and the ability to mentor and grow a high-performing team. RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as a strategic advisor to clients in the consumer products industry, delivering innovative tax planning and compliance solutions. Oversee preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for Corporations, Partnerships, and individual shareholders/partners. Address complex tax issues such as inventory accounting, sales and use tax, state nexus, and multi-state filings. Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities and optimize tax positions for clients. Advice on tax implications of business transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring within the consumer products sector. Stay current on tax law changes impacting consumer products businesses and communicate updates to clients and internal teams. Mentor and develop tax professionals at all levels, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration. Drive growth of the Consumer Products practice through market-facing initiatives, networking, and thought leadership. Identify new business opportunities and expand relationships with existing clients. Represent Anchin at industry events and conferences to enhance visibility and attract new clients. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA required. Experience: 10+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, with significant exposure to the consumer products industry. Proven track record in tax planning, compliance, and advisory for complex entity structures. Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws. Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills. Ability to develop and execute business development strategies. Proficient in using tax software and Microsoft Office applications. Compensation: Competitive annual salary in the range of $220,000 to $500,000+, based on the individual's experience level.
