General Duties and Responsibilities Regardless of the assigned business unit or college major, all interns will be responsible for: Project-Based Work: Assist with ongoing projects, research, and analysis that contribute to the operational or strategic goals of the assigned department. Collaboration & Teamwork: Work alongside airport professionals, gaining insights into aviation management and business operations. Research & Data Analysis: Gather, review, and analyze data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for process improvements. Customer Service & Engagement: Assist in guest relations, internal/external communications, or public affairs efforts to enhance customer experience. Administrative Support: Prepare reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and other documentation as needed to support the assigned business unit. Compliance & Safety Awareness: Follow airport security protocols, workplace policies, and departmental guidelines. Professional Development: Attend career-building workshops, industry networking events, and job readiness training sessions. Final Presentation: Deliver a formal internship project presentation to airport leadership highlighting key learnings and contributions. Eligibility Requirements Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, community college, or technical institute. Must have completed at least one year of college before the internship begins. Minimum GPA of 2.50 on a 4.0 scale. Must provide an unofficial transcript within 24 hours of an interview and a certified copy upon hire. Must be registered for Fall 2026 classes. Must be able to pass an FBI fingerprint criminal history records check, and a Security Threat Assessment conducted by the federal government. Under direct supervision, may assist in opening switches or clamping grounding device to energized equipment to de-energize lines or accessories.
