    The Mayor's Office of Employment Development (MOED) coordinates and directs workforce development initiatives responsive to the needs of Baltimore City employees and job seekers in order to enhance and promote the local economy. Through our Youth Opportunity (YO) Centers, MOED offers internship programs providing young adults between the ages of 18 and 24 with valuable hands-on experience, educational & professional development, and mentorship opportunities in both public and private sector organizations throughout Baltimore City. The program's goal is to help participants build career readiness skills, gain work experience, and prepare for long-term employment and/or continued education to ensure their success. Position Summary: Youth Interns will support daily operations within their assigned academic, business, or community service organization as per the program's design. Under supervision, the intern will perform a variety of project-based tasks designed to develop both personal & professional skills, along with workplace competencies. Interns will also participate in training sessions and workshops focused on career development, financial literacy, communication, and teamwork.
