GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB:

Performs professional work related to the planning, development and implementation of programs and activities to advance and promote the City as a technology hub, to increase the growth of technology jobs within the City, and to enhance the technology and innovation ecosystem within the community. Under supervision of the Economic Development Manager, and using technology-based economic development strategies, this position is responsible for researching, planning, and implementing programs and initiatives that attract and retain technology-based businesses within the City.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Develops, researches, and participates in programs, activities that foster and promote the innovation and technology ecosystem in the City;
* Assists in the attraction, retention, and growth of technology-based companies in the City;
* Collaborates with incubator programs, accelerator programs, workspace solution facilities, other start-up facilities and programs to establish and expand strategic partnerships;
* Cultivates partnerships/programs, and identifies new companies in the technology ecosystem that support a targeted retention and recruitment strategy;
* Establishes relationships with businesses, educational institutions, investors, startup companies, and others in the technology ecosystem;
* Acts as a resource for start-up and entrepreneurial companies within the community;
* Identifies and works with private investors;
* Acts as liaison with private and public stakeholders to promote the City's innovation and economic development plans, goals, strategies, and projects;
* Promotes and markets the City as an innovative community and technology hub;
* Creates website, social media, and traditional content regarding innovation, technology programs, activities, and related topics to promote the City's technology ecosystem;
* Works with the Communications and Marketing Division to create and promote marketing campaigns to attract new technology-based businesses to the City;
* Develops and participates in outreach activities and events;
* Conducts business research, analyzes business trends as well as activities of other communities to recommend new programs;
* Collects, monitors, analyzes, and compiles community economic market and demographic information and trends;
* Develops and makes presentations to residents, business representatives, elected officials, City staff and others;
* Attends industry related meetings, serves on committees, and makes presentations as appropriate;
* Prepares reports on innovation and technology plans, trends, opportunities, and threats to the City's economic health;
* Develops metrics to track progress;
* Coordinates activities and programs with the Economic Development Division and other City staff;
* Represents the City and provides services to related councils, committees, boards and meetings.

MINIMUM AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management or other relevant field required;
* Minimum three (3) years of work experience in the start-up, innovation and/or technology environment required;
* Economic development experience preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Possession of a valid State of Florida class "E" driver's license.

GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK:

Oversees activities related to the Parking Customer Service Office including customer relations; citation payments; boot payments; assuring daily downloads to the system from hand-held parking citation machines; processing of customer refunds; handling of checks with non-sufficient funds; and handling of delinquent citation collections both in-state and out-of-state; Oversees outsourcing of other parking related functions, i.e., signs and decals; printing services; paving and concrete work; specialty engineering services; special meter installations; and stripping projects;

Conducts parking surveys, makes recommendations to the Department Director regarding any necessary changes concerning time limits, and installation of removal of parking meters;

Collaborates with other Parking Services staff to determine meter life cycles and meter capital replacement plans

Performs other duties as assigned.

Any combination of education and experience in public sector and/or business administration or a related field and possess at least three (3) years of progressively responsible parking systems experience in areas such as budget management and administration, field operations, the preparation of management reports, and/or related parking systems operations including at least one (1) year of parking systems supervisory experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience.

CERTIFICATIONS / PROFESSIONAL LICENSES:

Possess State of Florida parking enforcement specialist certification to issue parking citations or obtain certification within 90 days from date of appointment.

Maintains, levels and repairs the clay portions of athletic fields and tennis courts; installs bases, pitching rubbers and home plates; moves portable pitching mounds; sets lines, installs posts, net supports and nets.

Operates and performs preventive maintenance and general repair of maintenance groundskeeping equipment, including mowers, chain saws, tractors, front-end loaders, trenchers, aerators, top dressers, dump trucks, small power equipment andsimilar equipment.

RELATED TASKS:

Measures, lays out and lines athletic fields and courts to prescribed standards; prepares fields, clay, greens, tees, bunkers and courts for play; inspects for safety and maintenance needs, completes the appropriate inspections sheets and paperwork; helps repair pipes; fixes sprinkler heads; assists with some irrigation repairs; washes and cleans tools and equipment; performs related tasks as required. GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB:

Performs responsible semiskilled work operating a refuse collection vehicle in the collection of solid waste; does related work as required. Work is performed under regular supervision. Limited supervision is exercised over assigned crew members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Operates rear-load and flat-bed refuse collection trucks picking up refuse on a predetermined route.
* Obeys all traffic laws and safety guidelines; monitors immediate environment and work area to ensure the safety of operator, other workers, the equipment, and the public.
* Operates hydraulic mechanisms for compressing and dumping refuse.
* Transports refuse to pre-designated disposal areas.
* Drives and operates truck to collect household appliances, furniture, and unusually large amounts of trash.
* Performs routine inspections, cleaning, fueling, and preventative maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment.
* Directs personnel assigned to truck.
