This is sub-professional work in a student work-study program in conjunction with a college or university baccalaureate co-op program. An employee in this class performs work in support of professional civil engineering, urban planning, architecture, or landscape architecture in any one of several areas as part of a coordinated program of employment and instruction with a college or university leading to a degree in engineering, surveying, or architecture. The Civil Engineering Intern will support the Planning & Design Department in a variety of functions including design, due diligence, construction management, quantity tracking, bid document preparation, contractor coordination, and project management.
