Coral Springs, FL company history timeline

1963

Today the city is still known for its family-oriented neighborhoods and sought-after schools. It built the city of Coral Springs from scratch starting in 1963.

1964

Originally built by Coral Ridge Properties in 1964 as a 30´x 20´ real estate sales office, it sat at the northwest intersection of Wiles Road and SR441.

1966

Westinghouse purchased Coral Ridge Properties in 1966.

Westinghouse acquired the company in 1966 and built "Electra Lab" houses with conveniences such as motion detectors and intercoms.

1968

The City moved it to 6500 Woodside Drive to use as its first administration building and in 1968, the first police station.

1978

By March 4, 1978, it was fully restored and opened as the Mini Museum.

2000

In 2000, (another year of resurgent interest in local history) the City formed the Historical Advisory Committee, which identified the building as a landmark that should be restored to its prior status as a museum.

2012

CST was created in 2012 to provide News, Views, and Entertainment for the residents of Coral Springs and the rest of South Florida.
