SKILLS:
* Knowledge of principles of air-conditioning unit repair and maintenance, including controls, MSDS sheets, safety practices and procedures and tools used.

* Ability to read and interpret building regulations and codes implemented by city, state and federal government agencies pertaining to installing air-conditioning units.
* Ability to make moderately complex mathematical computations accurately.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
* Hold a mechanical contractor license from the state of Michigan in 3 of the 4 following categories/work classifications for at least 1 year: 1(a) Hydronic heating and cooling and process piping; 2(b) HVAC equipment; 4(d) Refrigeration; 9(i) Fire suppression
OR
* 6 years of experience under a licensed mechanical contractor who can attest to your performance of mechanical work in 3 of the 4 categories 1(a) Hydronic heating and cooling and process piping; 2(b) HVAC equipment; 4(d) Refrigeration; 9(i) Fire suppression (This contractor must have held Michigan mechanical licenses in 3 of the 4 aforementioned categories at the time of supervision).
* Must be willing to obtain state of MI Mechanical Inspector license (Company can aid in this process)

Job Responsibilities
Receives eight weeks of formalized pre-service security training at the Illinois Corrections Training Academy including firearms training due to requirements mandating qualification.
Receives on-the-job training under immediate supervision of a qualified correctional employee.
Assigned each work week to another correctional employee to assist in running lines, yard, dining room, housing units, facility buildings, writs, observing individuals in custody, perimeter patrol, armory, counting, shakedowns, movement, etc.
Travels by using a state issued vehicle to complete assignments.
Receives one week orientation at facility.
Given formal training in housing unit work, report writing, out-count work, yard work, running lines, individuals in custody at this institution and their assignments, chain-of-command, security buildings, disciplinary procedures, and any other training deemed necessary.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of high school.

Intern Summary
The psychology intern will provide professional psychological services for patients with serious mental illness admitted to the Caro Psychiatric Hospital. The psychology intern will work closely with members of the interdisciplinary treatment teams providing assessment/diagnostic information, assisting in treatment planning and program development, and delivery of therapeutic services including individual and group therapy.
Responsibilities:
Psychology intern job duties include but are not limited to:
* Planning and conducting treatment groups for patients as part of the Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) program and other group therapy as indicated by patient needs.
* Conducting individual therapy as indicated by patient need.
* Developing Behavior Treatment Plans based on patient need and training staff in the implementation of the interventions as indicated.
* Documenting progress on the various treatment modalities as indicated by departmental guidelines and/or hospital policy.
Completing documentation for each group and individual therapy session and weekly/monthly progress notes.
At the time of internship, must be currently enrolled pursuing your master's degree or higher in one of the below areas of study:
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field; and enrolled in a psychology master's degree program. OR master's degree in psychology with Temporary Limited License Psychologist credential.

In a training situation, performs manual, custodial, and the less complicated and technical repairs and maintenance of the Water Pollution Control Plant. Performs related work as required. *As the training progresses, supervision may be proportionately decreased, and the responsibility and difficulty of assignments increased. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assists higher level employees in the maintenance, repair, and replacement of water pollution control equipment and appurtenances, inclusive of ALL remote pumping stations and lift stations.
* Checks and cleans diffuser tubes; flushes and removes sludge and grit accumulation for aeration tanks and digesters; operates high pressure water washer, steam cleaning equipment, and hoses on mechanical equipment, floors, walls, and tanks.
* Cleans, lubricates, and changes oil and filters on equipment, inclusive of ALL remote pumping stations and lift stations.
* Performs heavy manual labor such as pick and shovel work on dirt, ash, grit and sludge; loads and unloads materials and supplies; breaks up ice; shovels snow, spreads salt, and collects trash from WPC facilities and buildings; inclusive of ALL remote pumping stations and lift stations.
* Operates a light and medium duty truck to plow snow, haul grit, and pick up and deliver supplies, materials, and parts.
* Performs custodial duties; mows grass, trims, trees and shrubs, weed flowerbeds; paints buildings and equipment.
* Performs various safety equipment checks such as fire extinguishers, first aid kits, self-contained breathing apparatus, eyewash, and safety shower.
* Assists with maintaining equipment records and reports, using a computer-based facilities maintenance system.
* Participates in all plant safety programs such as respiratory protection program, confined space entry program, process safety, hazardous waste operations and emergency response, laboratory hygiene, ladder safety, electrical lockout, asbestos awareness and Right to Know.
MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
* One (1) year of experience performing semi-skilled mechanical repair and maintenance tasks in a commercial/industrial environment

* Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients to coordinate project tasks and deliverables.
* Support engineering services during construction by reviewing submittals, conducting inspections, and verifying conformance with plans and specifications.
* Manage and deliver assignments on time, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
* Complete an Internship Capstone project demonstrating skill development, learning, and accomplishments gained during the summer internship experience.
Work schedule and location: Summer Interns with Brown and Caldwell work a full-time schedule of 40 hours a week and may have the potential for hybrid work schedules and fieldwork

What Must Our Candidate Have? (Required)
* To qualify for an internship, you must be enrolled as a student seeking a degree in Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
* You must be enrolled for the 2025-2026 academic year and plan to continue in Fall 2026.
* You also must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Salary Range: The hourly pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Location A:
Hourly $18.40 - $25.20
Location B:
Hourly $20.20 - $27.70
Location C:
Hourly $22.00 - $30.20
