We have a vacancy for a Plant OperationsSpecialist (Wastewater Plant Operator (POI). This position is responsible for monitoring plant operations by physical observation of plant processes; sampling units to ensure proper operation; maintaining accurate records; cleaning and calibrating process meters; monitoring chemical feeds and making process adjustments as needed. Checks equipment and makes adjustments as necessary.
Once you've obtained your Wastewater Certification, you must be willing and able to work every other weekend. You must be readily available by phone with ability to work stand-by/recall when needed
* Assists with operating, adjusting, and maintaining equipment at an assigned water or wastewater facility; monitors physical plant operations by observing plant processes; monitors chemical feeds; collects and analyzes lab samples under close supervision; and complies with work safety rules and procedures.
* Cleans and performs minor repairs on plant equipment; cleans assigned work areas; and receives and unloads chemicals.
* Maintains records, logs, databases, documentation and online systems; enters and updates data to document maintenance; reviews and proofs records to ensure accuracy and completeness.

* Six months of related experience (such as working in a manufacturing/warehousing/utility facility, or general industry experience).

We having an opening for a Water Treatment Plant Operations Coordinator (Plant Operator III) vacancy available on the 3rd shift , which covers 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. Monday - Friday. This position is responsible for the operation & maintenance primarily located at the Brown Water Treatment plant with potential coverage and assistance at the Williams Water Treatment Plant when needed. Assigned duties include work at two water supply facilities, elevated and ground storage tanks, and two pressure zones including the associated pump and storage facilities. Certified operators are required to monitor treatment process components to ensure efficient and effective operations and to work without direct supervision or solo on a shift.

Position Summary
This position will perform work involving the coordination, preparation and processing of various contracts related to the Ryan White Part A Program within the HIV/STD Division. This position, under the supervision of the Sr. Health Program Manager, is responsible for contract administration; sub-recipient monitoring; invoice review & processing; maintains and audits a central contract-resource file to ensure proper procedural controls and contract specifications.

SUMMARY
This position provides a high-level of customer service to visitors, employees, tenant partners, and the traveling public. Perform regular inspections, preventive, maintenance, and repairs on lift stations, including pumps, motors, control panels, electrical systems, and other associated equipment.

Monitor lift station performance using SCADA systems and manual inspections to ensure efficient operation and adherence to regulatory standards.

VPS II's are expected to ensure that, within their region, expertise is available to be called upon for depopulation, disposal, and/or disease biosecurity assistance in the event of natural disaster impacting animal agriculture or disease outbreak response.
This position serves as supervisor of 5-6 VPS I's assigned to poultry health that are spread geographically throughout their region of authority and is responsible for their training and professional growth. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However, the position may be required to have evening and weekend responsibilities to accommodate stakeholder needs. Minimum Education and Experience

Master's degree in historic preservation, planning, architecture history, or a closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in historic preservation;
or
Bachelor's degree in history, planning, or architectural history, or a closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of experience in historic preservation; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Section/Unit Description
The Survey and National Register Branch of the State Historic Preservation Office (HPO) coordinates activities in three major program areas related to the preservation of historic structures in North Carolina. This includes the statewide historic building survey, the National Register of Historic Places program, and public information and assistance.
Division Description
As the official state agency for historic preservation in North Carolina, the Historic Preservation Office (HPO) identifies, protects, and enhances North Carolina's historic properties and districts through a coordinated statewide program of incentives, information and technical assistance for public agencies, private organizations, and the state's citizens. Section programs include: processing nominations to the National Register of Historic Places; comprehensive architectural surveys for counties and municipalities; technical assistance for the care and treatment of historic buildings; technical assistance and training for approximately 105 local historic preservation commissions statewide; management of a federal pass-through grant program for the federal Certified Local Government (CLG) program; and environmental review of development projects that may affect historic properties and archaeological resources. It functions as the state clearinghouse for federal and state protection and incentive programs for properties that qualify for the National Register of Historic Places. The position is located in the Western Office in Asheville. Staff are also stationed in the main office in Raleigh and the Eastern Office of Archives and History in Greenville.

Veteran's and National Guard Preference
Applicants seeking Veteran's Preference must attach a DD Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty, along with the state application.
Applicants seeking National Guard Preference must attach an NGB 23A (RPAS), along with the state application if they are a current member of the NC National Guard in good standing.
Applicants who are former member of either the NC Army National Guard or the NC Air National Guard, with honorable discharge and six years of creditable service must attach a copy of the DD 256 or NGB 22, along with the state application.
