1809

1809.] Easthampton was taken from Northampton and Southampton.

1847

1847 - The Williston-Knight Button Company, was established in Easthampton by Samuel Williston, son of the town’s first minister, a Congregationalist named Payson Williston.

1864

1864 - Easthampton's first high school and first national bank opened.

1881

1881 - Easthampton Public Library opened. www.wikipedia.org

1912

In 1912, a new high school was built in Easthampton.

2006

In 2006, CitySpace was granted a lease by the City to occupy the first floor of Old Town Hall and established as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) by founders Will Bundy, owner of Eastworks, and Ed Check.

2019

The partnership between the city and CitySpace has worked so well that in January 2019, CitySpace established a 44-year lease with the City of Easthampton for the purpose of preserving, maintaining, and increasing the use of our city’s most prominent and historic building.
