This position requires a California Registered Technician who will operate under Pharmacist Supervision. The primary responsibilities include packaging, preparation, and compounding of oral medications, intravenous medications, as well as chemotherapy/biohazard medications. Additionally, the role involves implementing and maintaining control procedures, conducting inventory management, and overseeing stock control. As a successful candidate, you will: * Ensure compliance with USP 797 & 800 at all times. * Utilize proper aseptic technique for all pharmaceutical mixing. * Order, receive, and maintain accurate medication inventory. * Coordinate with Specialty Pharmacies or manufactures for timely deliveries of medications for infusion. * Performs routine daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning as required. * Procure and maintain supplies necessary for daily mixing operation. * Prescription order entry and process. * Coordination and submission of prior authorizations. * Determination of patient's prescription benefits and seeks appropriate financial assistance when applicable. * Order, receive and maintain accurate medication inventory. * Assist with routing and release of prescriptions to the appropriate pharmacy * Properly label and fills prescription drugs. Your qualifications should include: * High School or equivalent or Post High School vocational/specialized training or Graduation from a foreign school of Pharmacy * 3 or more years of performing related duties as a pharmacy technician * Certified Pharmacist Technician (CPhT) from Pharmacy Technician * Certification Board (PTCB), preferred City of Hope employees pay is based on the following criteria: work experience, qualifications, and work location.
