CEVA Logistics is currently hiring a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) Supervisor/Administrator located in Nashville, TN to oversee foreign trade zone operations and ensure compliance with all CBP/FTZ regulations and other US regulatory agency requirements.
In this role you will supervise the local FTZ production team, work closely with the FTZ user/client, act as Zone Administrator, and support the FTZ Director.
Key Accountabilities:
Provide supervision, direction, and leadership to direct reports including managing employee performance
Continuous improvement of internal FTZ operating procedures
Ensure compliance by auditing CBP documentation, FTZ transactions, and warehouse inventory
Liaison with user, carriers, CBP local port, and other internal depts
Work with other stakeholders and IT to resolve EDI, ASN, and system issues
Ensure timely & accurate filings of e214, 3461, 7501, and 7512 data to CBP
Manage high volume department production within carrier and warehouse cut off times.

Oversee inbound zone-to-zone admittances
Ensure all FTZ records are maintained in accordance with applicable recordkeeping regulations

Education & Experience Needed:
Hight School Diploma or GED
Minimum 3-5 years in related Foreign Trade Zone and/or customs brokerage experience, or Warehouse Operations.

Responsibilities
Summary
The Team Lead acts as a front-line extension of the manager's and/or supervisor's authority. Helps ensure the employees are present and the work is completed on time. Provides support, training, direction and assistance to his/her team members on all areas of their assigned duties. Ensures control of system transactions. Will lead and assist in the delivery of premiere customer service, expediting customer needs, and system testing. Will also actively deliver process improvement projects.
Responsibilites
• Direct, train and coordinate employees engaged in system transactions and the processing of goods
• Develop and maintain positive customer relations through interaction and ensure customer inquiries and needs are fully addressed
• Schedule and lead meetings
• Prepare requisitions for materials and supplies
• Assist with scheduling of shipments
• Assist with work schedules, assignments, and production sequences, to meet production goals
• Identifies and implements standard work and associated standard operating procedures
• Confers with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances
• Confers with supervisors and other Team Leads to coordinate operations and activities within departments or between departments
• Responds to, investigates, and researches discrepancies to identify errors, make corrections, and implement permanent corrective actions
• Reads charts, work orders, or production schedules to determine production requirements
• May have responsibilities related to invoicing shipments and daily inventory/process reporting
• Recommends or implements measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency
• Inspects materials, products, or equipment to detect defects /malfunctions.
• Lead safety efforts in area of responsibility
• Demonstrates equipment operations or work procedures to new employees or assigns employees to experienced workers for training
• Monitors or patrols work area and enforces safety or sanitation regulations
• Assists with Quality Control measures and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education
High School diploma or GED equivalent
3 - 5 years of general manufacturing or warehouse operations experience in a combination of floor, office environments.
Required Skills
• Knowledge of ERP, Inventory Control Systems, and Microsoft Office is a plus
• Ability to type and 10 key is a plus
• Leadership skills / Ability to provide direction/ coaching
• Inter-personal skills and Communication skills
• Customer service focus
• Ability to multi-task and work several different issues concurrently and meet deadlines
• Ability to adapt to change
• Ability to be detail oriented, quality focused and organized

This Reefer Team Route Offers:
Start at 35 CPM per driver - Average $1,750-$1,925 per week per driver - based on 5,000-5,500 miles per week

Each load averages 800-1,000 miles
Average 5,000-7,000 miles per week
Comprehensive health coverage after 90 days

Evaluations and Raise Opportunities:
At 90 days: 2 CPM increase split pay

Detention pay: $15 per hour after 3 hours up to 8 hours split pay - based on appointment
