Pros of working at City of Newark

The pro’s of working for the City of Newark is seeing the growth of the City and watching Mayor Ras Baraka first hand create initiatives and replace the narratives of the past.

Cons of working at City of Newark

The con’s are I don’t receive a full benefit package and I don’t get enough time off.

What I like best about the CEO is the honesty and flexibility that is provided in the environment.

How would you improve City of Newark's culture?

I would improve the culture by having more meetings. Understanding the structure of the business is important for one to function with the company effectively.

How did you prepare for the City of Newark interview?

I prepared for the interview by telling the company what I was and had been doing in the City of Newark. Which at that time was running 8 blogs and running a YouTube series.

The compensation is probably and little less than the industry average.
