Required Qualifications
VOCATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Requires a high school diploma or GED and successful completion of the Chesapeake Police Academy, another acceptable Police Academy, or comparable training.

The purpose of the class, under limited supervision is to develop, coordinate, administer and conduct training for a comprehensive operational program for the City of Hampton and Hampton City Schools.
Minimum Requirements
* Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a field directly related to occupational health and safety or public sector regulatory compliance.
* Two (2) years of experience in developing, writing, and managing organizational training programs, developing training material, and/or presenting training. Demonstrates progressively responsible experience in developing and managing workforce training plans. Must know what is current and relevant in the training realm.
* Two (2) years of experience in training occupational health and safety programs.
* One (1) year of experience in virtual learning environments. Knowledge of adult learning techniques, training design and delivery, and change management with a demonstrated ability to conduct training needs assessments.
* A combination of education and experience may be considered for this position.
* Must successfully pass a background check before any offer of employment or promotion.
* Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license and must have and maintain a satisfactory driver's record based on the City of Hampton's criteria.

As a Waterworks Class III Operato r, work involves monitoring and maintaining water treatment processes under the direction of senior operators at either of two water treatment plants. This position involves maintaining operational logs and records, monitoring the plant control ( SCADA ) system and making adjustments, as needed. This position will be responsible for monitoring the distribution and sewer collection systems and making adjustments in accordance with current operational guidelines. GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB Under general supervision, this position provides emergency medical treatment for injured or sick persons. Reports to the EMS Manager or designee. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Assumes responsibility of the provision of basic and advanced life support emergency medical and rescue activities. Coordinates with fire, police, and other public safety agencies to facilitate patient care in immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH) environments such as confined space, entrapments, and structure fires, rescue operations, etc.
Coordinates work with other public safety agencies during emergencies or disaster situations and various health care entities to facilitate the seamless continuum of patient care.
Attends classes, seminars, conferences, and perform those activities required to familiarize and remain current with the proper practices and procedures of emergency medical services to effect efficient delivery of services.

This position is responsible for providing initially criminal court administration assistance to judges, attorneys, defendants, and court personnel. The Deputy Clerk III, involves entering various data and information into state computer systems, including but not limited to: case entry must be precise with certifying cases from Juvenile Domestic and Relations and General District Court appeals, direct indictments and audit, researching guidelines, and composing and typing a variety of routine documents. This class involves organizing and maintaining departmental records and updating the case management and financial management systems. This class works within a general outline of work to be performed; develops work methods and sequences under general supervision.
